is an astronomer, currently acting director of the Observatoire Astronomique de Marseille Provence. His expertise is in space astronomy instrumentation and currently involved in projects in observational cosmology on dark energy. He is also President of the Association Leonardo in Paris and Executive Editor of the Leonardo publication at MIT Press.
