With our latest packaging project for Spotted Cow Cookies, our brief was to create a 2 flavour pack that was fun, bright and had an old school twist. We came up with the Naughty & Nice cookie pack that holds triple choc cookies for the naughty people and the choc chunk cookie for all the angels out there. To match these two classic flavours we went for the classic milk carton shape and created the two new CoCo the cow illustrations, one very devilish and the other angelic! So whether your feeling naughty or nice you can now enjoy the... Continue reading

How do you confine your target audience into a small small space and get them experience your product all at the same time, without really having to try? By getting your product on the next Virgin flight, that’s how! Our newly designed packaging for Spotted Cow Cookies now appears on the Virgin Blue in-flight menu. Nothing beats boredom on a plane like a brightly packaged cookie to munch on. A big congratulations to the cookie extraordinaire herself, Tahnee Walters, on this amazing achievement! Not only does Tahnee supply 200 cafes with her great cookies, but they now also appear on... Continue reading

Fresh off the oven and the printers, we have just been delivered a double treat — delicious brownies encased in our latest packaging and branding project! The Bees Knees Brownie Company’s head brownie maker extraordinaire, Barbara Keenan, approached us to create a corporate brand that was both fun and sophisticated, something that would truly reflect the quality and personality of her amazing brownies. We took their tagline “perfection squared” to be the base of the square logo and had lots of fun perfecting the company’s queen of all bees, Zelda. Not only did we get our chocolate fix, but our... There are a few design heavyweights out there whose work makes us swoon. Louise Fili is one of them. With her sophisticated, 1930’s-inspired typography arrangements, classic illustration techniques, intricate detailing and playful colour palettes, we can’t help but daydream about frolicking around the streets of New York, admiring the array of eateries she’s branded. Amongst being inducted into the Art Directors Hall of Fame and designing menus for dinners held by President Obama, Fili currently directs Louise Fili Ltd, where they specialise in restaurant branding and food packaging - BUT that’s only a smidge of what she can do. Did... Continue reading

With the design direction of Shikatani Lacroix, Doritios Canada launched their latest campaign “The End” with an incredibly bold, clean and captivating design approach – using only black and white. Representing two new flavours, each bag is marked with a large ‘A’ or ‘B.’ The idea is to entice consumers to take part in Dortios’ latest competition where consumers are asked to write the final 20 seconds of a commercial wherein one of the two flavours is destroyed! It’s no laughing matter – the winning ad will be filmed and the destroyed flavour removed from shelves permanently! We think it’s... Continue reading

What is that fascinating looking piece of architecture perched up at the end of The Rocks, blossoming with greenery and oozing ‘cool’? It’s Greenhouse by Joost, of course. Dutch-born architect Joost Bakker has brought his traveling eco-cafe to Sydney, after first embarking on the project in 2008. Entirely constructed out of recycled materials, this little gem will knock your organic socks off with its charm and attention to detail. Juices served in recycled jars, chairs held together with old aluminium pipes, tabletops assembled with unused advertising banners, the list goes on. Our favourite part? The type-covered walls of course! And... Continue reading

Co-directed by Andrew Ruhemann, the already award winning film is up for an Oscar at this year’s Academy Awards! Check out the trailer for a glimpse of the wonderfully crafted short. Daily dialogue can be so drab. Thankfully Mark Addison Smith has the wits to do something about it! The talented artist/graphic designer brings us a treat everyday through his blog You Look Like The Right Type, sharing delightfully candid illustrations he bases on everyday chit chat – overheard and illustrated all in the same day. Yes we took that directly from the tagline. Enjoy! Continue reading

Who doesn't love an old photograph? The perfectly soft hues, the unintentionally cool get-ups, the surge of nostalgia, the sheer awkwardness… What if you could re-live some of your favourites from the Family Album? Buenos Aires-born photographer Irina Werning invited people to reenact some of their undeniably classic moments captured on film - and did a mighty splendid job at it too! Say cheese. Check it out here. Continue reading

How cool is this? Google has brought us Art Project, a collaboration with 17 international museums that allows you to stroll around and explore some of the most acclaimed museums and galleries of the world. Drop in at the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, the National Gallery in London, or the Met in NYC - all while sitting comfortably in your chair, sipping your tea! You can even experience it in 3D at the (right) click of a button. It works with Google Street View, so step outside and grab a bagel in NYC or enjoy a pint of beer... Continue reading
