Loving the red (and the pink too). I so need to find a decent hairdresser to have mine dyed properly, last attempt looked like we'd had a bloodbath and hubby's hands took days to return to normal....!
My Florence
Lily fancied a change and was going to have some navy blue in her hair.So I was a little surprised to open the door to a redhead when she returned from the hair dressers! Of course I love it. She's like my very own little Florence Maisie had her dyed bright pink last week and I was hoping t...
Oh heavens. I always wanted a Polaroid... guess where I'll be heading next :)
Poladroid
I love the look of Polaroid photos and was so happy when I found Poladroid It really is fun if a little addictive. Thank goodness they set a 10 images a day limit!

Kirsty, it's a tough weekend on you all. Stanley reminds me of our lovely Talisker who we lost over a year ago. They do leave such gaping holes - mainly because they love so unconditionally. Your Dad looked quite the dashing gentleman, to lose him so young must have been very hard on you all. Will be thinking of you tomorrow.
19th June 2010 (25 years)
Today has been a sad day. Maisie has a Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award expedition today which meant setting off at 6.30am for an hours drive to Flagg. As we pulled off the drive I noticed our cat Stanley laying on the pavement. At first I thought he was asleep in the morning sun but soon realised...

Kirsty - what sort of face cream do you use? You don't look anything like a 40 year old mother of 4.... I want what you have :) xx
PS - belated Happy Birthday xx
Did You Know I Had Birthday?
Did you know I had a birthday whilst we were 'stuck' in Florida back in April? Well I did and it was a big birthday apparently. I was 40. Unfortunately I never got to experience the lovely day my sisters and friends had planned for me but I did get to spend the day with my favourite 5 people in ...

Is it not strange how suddenly will-power to diet comes along. I've struggled for years and now find myself able to say no (even if just in my head) to things that I quite like to eat, but actually would rather not. Enjoy your will-power and the lovely dress and try to love your Bridget Jones' - after all they shan't be with you for long.x
The Good & Bad of Dieting (according to Jane Goble)
The Good An actual new dress - already. I thought I would just go and look in Marks & Spencer really not expecting to find anything yet, but I did. It makes me feel like a million dollars and one or two tears were quietly shed in the changing room when I realised that I could possibly get awa...
oh my world. Is it possible to have lash envy? I do. You are a pure delight, and Anth is a lucky man. Do let us know how the lashes go... I've a fancying for it myself now :)
"Have I turned into Gwyneth yet?!"
There has been a slow transformation going on here over the last few months. There hasn't been a part of my life style that hasn't been changed in some way or other since I became ill in January and that has been a good thing. I'm now on a diet and I'm actually sticking to it and for the first ti...
Oh what a tough time for you all. The path we walk on this earth is never easy. Sometimes things that hurt lead us on to better things and it's only when we look back that we realise that our path was always mapped out in a different way. Rejection is painful, confidence knocking, cruel and the love of a good family can and will make all the difference. Wishing Lucy well. x
Music, Faith & Lucy
This week I discovered a song by the Cinematic Orchestra and sung by Patrick Watson. I actually heard a tiny snippet of the song on a TV programme and did an internet search and managed to track it down. It's beautiful and Patrick's voice is haunting. It is called, 'To Build a Home' ...
Loving those butterflies. x
A Little Corner
Hubby treated me to a new camera recently and I'm still trying to get used to it. I am finding things that don't move much easier to handle. Like this little corner in the sitting room. Just a few things grouped together that all hold fond memories. The butterflies were bought, from a butterf...
Clearly you must be feeling a bit brighter to be thinking of Chris - and how great that you're his hottest girl too *ahem* :)
In Sunday's papers
Mmm...I thought.... I wonder if the very best could have a place in this list? Where would he be placed? At seventeenth place I found him. Only seventeenth! What's the world coming to? I read with interest...yes... Piers got his facts correct... .....yes, even down to ...
I think the number of comments already shows how popular your items are and why so many don't strike it lucky with your sales! I would love to be considered as part of the lottery too.

Last weekend I had a little sale of my latest batch of knitted animals and again it highlighted the complexities of trying to keep everyone happy. The problem is that my little mailing list has been growing and growing and the number of finished items I'm able to make is staying pretty much ...
That's lovely. I love the deer motif, very simple and stunning.
Remember When I Used To Make Stuff?
I remember a time on this here blog that I actually used to show you the stuff I made. It's seems ages ago now. It's not that we haven't been creating just we haven't been documenting. Anyway a few weeks ago one of my best friends commissioned me to make a stroller quilt and matching tote for her ...
