I guess I should have been more patient, but if anything it just shows how much I like her blog and how much I missed her posts. After her rude response not so much anymore.

Wow, talk about overreacting girl. I don't know about your personal life, so if was just an innocent comment.

I'm actually disappointed C Note that you didn't write anything about Novak's amazing success. How's that?

Easier said than done! Nole is blowing too many chances me thinks. I heard the same reassuring comments after his defeat last year at USO (made already two finals and two semifinals there, still no luck) and I felt like he blew it. As I feel he blew his chance too at RG. Let's pray he doesn't blow more chances. He won't stay 24 forever.

I hope you didn't take it the wrong way. It was not my intention to belittle Rafa or his achievement. Of course he was the favorite to win RG again this year and he fought hard for it under duress. It's totally deserved and as you point out, Rafa would still have been the favorite against Nole. But still, i think Novak had a real chance this year... who knows, maybe he won't have another. :(
I agree Rafa is a champion in all the senses of the word. I'm not his fan but I admire him greatly. Nole didn't rise to the occasion, it was a bit unfortunate for him. He had been building up momentum for this moment the previous six months and today it seems that his efforts beating Rafa in 4 straight finals don't count for much now.

I don't know Marla. Grass is arguably Nole's worst surface and Fed will be even more dangerous there, as well as Rafa. I see most probable of all that Nole will win USO, making so many semis and finals there over the years. It would be the cherry on top of his extraordinary year. But of course nothing would make me happier than watch him raise the Wimbledon trophy. cross fingers.

I respect, like and admire so much all of the Top 4, but I only can honestly root for Nole. Yeah, I'm a NoleKad all the way. So I was really heartbroken with Fed's victory and I even hated him for a weekend. There was so much at stake for Nole... the streak, the n#1, the chance to win RG for the first time (and a very likely chance since Rafa was not playing at his very best) and the chance to make history.
I'm a little dumbfounded that nobody is talking about this, about Nole. Ok so we got another Fedal final, so what? same old story. But this was Nole's chance to break the duopoly at the top, his moment, not Rafa's, not Roger's, who already have too many of those moments. That makes me pretty sad, devastated even. I know how much this meant for Novak. I hope he takes only the positives and don't take the Muzza route, he has good chances of winning either of the remaining slams.
GOAT vs. GORC. GULP.
I am just...so not looking forward to this. I just feel like this is destiny for Fed. It already hurts. Rafa took care of a very game Andy Murray on Friday. I'm proud of Andy. He chipped his tooth, he tore his ankle, and he's Andy Murray. He really could have just thrown in the towel ...
Rafa did what he had to do and I admire him for winning his sixth or seventh Roland Garros (I lost count) by winning ugly and struggling all tournament but still winning. That's what great champions do.
As for Fed... we all knew this would happen, did we? But of course he had to play his best match all year against Novak just to prove whatever he wanted to prove and spoil the party for all. Nole would have had bigger chances against rafa in the final and the way rafa played the first two sets, Nole would have snatched the victory. I'm so angry... I can't contain myself. :((((

I was a bit confused with all the Goat, Gorn, Gorc and Gapp talk but it was really amusing. How familiar these 4 guys have become over time, it's like they are having tea with me every afternoon at home. We are family. Though my predilected son is Nole, so go on son win the whole f*cking thing!
The Three Musketeers... And Andy Murray.
All that Sturm und Drang and here we are. The Top 4 boys battling it out. What was the point of all the other stuff? Gosh, where to begin. You know how confused I am when I start a sentence with "Gosh". So we have the GOAT (Greatest of All Time), the GORN (Greatest of Right Now), the ...
I feel your pain C Note, I really do. This sucks. I mean if that "worst scenario ever" really comes to life I will also hang myself. Yuck.
Go Nole, makes us proud! This is your best chance to win RG!
Sewage.
There came a point while I was watching Francesca drop that second set to JJ when I thought "I refuse to live in a world where Fabio Fognini goes deeper at Roland Garros than Fran. I REFUSE." But THIS FUCKING GUY. Did you know that in Italy they call him "Fogna", which means "sewage"? And ...
LOl Novak, what the hell does he have there??? I've always wondered if they kind of ask you to check your bag without warning... what embarrassing items might appear. For Nole... just saints and fan gifts, lol.
Longest Bag Check EVER.
But well-deserved.
Oh but Feli is bright. Really if you heard some of his interviews in Spanish he comes as a very articulated and bright guy.
Pic This: UNICORN.
HE SMILEZ. I guess Madrid just has that effect. I'm guessing it's the altitude. No oxygen to the brain = no capacity to overthink your shit. Apparently he asked his coach why so many people were watching him practice. Um...he's pretty, but he ain't bright. But then... ...aaaaaaaaaand...
Hey courtney, so you wrote that piece? It's brilliant. Obviously I'm ecstatic for all Nole's success and I have been writing so much about it about everywhere that i don't have any more words to say except it was EXCEPTIONAL. I hope he goes on to win RG and Andy M wins Wimbledon, that would be a fantastic year for me. :)
Statements.
Hey, remember when this was, like, a thing? Yeah, it's a thing again. But in a way that matters.
Nole won his 5th straight title in Belgrade and is now 27-0 undefeated this season. AWESOME.
Feli played a good match, but conditions were tough, very rainy and humid and cold. Nole played enough to win though, didn't do anything special. The trophy ceremony was lovely, Nole said that Feli is one of the nicest and prettiest players in the ATP, lol. I like how these two get along so well.

Hey C Note, that's great that you're coming to Barcelona. If you want to hang out let me know, that'd be great. I don't know how to communicate with you though. Anyway contact me here if you want. :)
EuroTrip.
Hopping on a flight to Madrid in, oh, three hours. I'll only be hitting the Madrid tournament for a day or two and then off to Barcelona for some vacationing. All that is to say, blogging/tweeting will be light until I can figure out connectivity issues. But don't you fret you weirdo FD addic...
Problem is not the abs... he's just lost a lot of weight. And now we know why. From Nole's last interview: "I've found out I'm intolerant to gluten. So I have changed my diet... no more bread, pasta or pizza for me. I now feel stronger, faster and mentally stable". Poor nole... :(
The Hair. Everywhere. The Hair.
WHY ARE YOUR PANTS ON??? Oh, yeah. There's an article attached to that picture. Feel free to read it. Lord knows I haven't gotten that far yet. (Pic: Gloria.rs)
Nole is a real man... lol, yeah, I'm no fan of chest hair but my eyes couldn't see further than his low abdomen, that's insane. Mamma mia!

That was brilliant, pure comedy! Janko was a riot! Who knew he could act so well. I just became his fan, he's awesome. Damn awesome!
The Sincerest Form of Flattery.
The coke-habit-sniffing was an inspired choice, Janko.
I hope Rafa plays Barcelona, it's his hometown tournement and he needs the extra points in the race (since last year he didn't play he could only add). And personally because it's my hometown and I'll be there watching him and Muzza. :)
The Master of Monte Carlo.
It's kind of like being the Count of Monte Cristo. But with fewer sandwiches. Something tells me that with Rafa, the seventh one feels just as good as the first one. A day after dropping a set to a cortisoned Andy Murray (the first set he's dropped on clay in over a year, I believe), Rafa ...
OMG! OMG! I'm hyperventilating! Those pics of Novak are gorrrrrgeous! I love the first and second, he looks so darn good-looking. Best-looking tennis player for sure. And Anna isn't bad herself. ;)

WHUUUUUUUUUUUT. WHUUUUUUUT. WHUUUUUUUUT. WHUUUUUUUUUT. MAKE SEX AND HAVE BABIES! AND MAYBE LET US WATCH! YOUR PUBLIC BESEECHES YOU! WHY AM I YELLING! (Pics: Men's Tennis Forum, John Russo Photography)
Simply amazing. I don't think we fully understand what is happening yet. But I see the tables turning. Nole is proving time and again that he's a new born man. I can't contain my excitement. It's like watching history before my eyes. Luv it.
This Guy.
Hey guys, I'm running off to the airport to hop on a last-minute flight to Tokyo to visit my sister. Well, really, it doubles as a family visit and a scouting trip on behalf of Kim Clijsters to see if it's safe. I have thoughts on this epic match (duhr!) but still jotting down. In the meant...
You cheered for Fed and you don't know why, lol. It happens sometimes. I find myself in that situation more than once. Even though we are not Fed fans I think a small part of us still want to see the Goat to never go away, just be there closely behind Nole and Rafa. It's called empathy. It's only normal to empathize with the former champion who's now a little on the decline. It's not pretty to watch. And you end up feeling for him more than before.
Serious. Seriously.
It's hard to say this was a letdown, because Rafa played so well and it was a joy to watch. But if Rafa and Fed are going to play a semi-high-stakes match, it's kind of a bummer when it's a thoroughly one-sided 63 62 affair that only lasts an hour and 16 minutes. The sellout Miami crowd cer...
Rumour is that he will hook up with nutty Lendl. Imagine that?
By the way, Judy, why spend a fortune on a puppy when you can find thousands abandoned in shelters? Hmmm...
Pass the Salt and Pepper.
Team Murray just got a little less sexy. Andy said he would go home and think about his coaching sitch. Looks like that tiny brain under the big fro did some noodling came to the conclusion that it's time to part ways with Alex Corretja. Personally, as an Andy fan, I can't tell you if that'...
I had to laugh hard on this one, C-Note, one of your finest hours! Double LOL, double yummy. I know everything's going unbelievably great for Nole and not so great for Andy since he lost that infamous final in AO to his best friend. I'm so sorry for the kid, I really am. He has to get his shit together pronto, it's no fun seeing him like this. And we all know he's not Andrew Ridgeley! Haha he's far more talented and hotter than him. Uber-talented in fact.
That doubles match was all kinds of awesome and I'm looking forward to more Nolandy matches in the future, they are like yin and yang. And they are by far my two favorite players!
NolAndy. More Like NoAndy.
Everyone knows the formula for an awesome boy band. You always have to have the super-talented, hot, charismatic, wide-grinning one who all the boys want to be and all the ladies want to be with. They're the Michael Jacksons, the Timberlakes, the Lacheys, the Lennons, and the George Michaels...
