I couldn't agree with you more Jen! This very ad comes through my Pandora stream on a regular basis and while I accept and am okay with Pandora's free version having ads, I have issue with this one as well. I LOVE cupcakes, however I do not wish to participate in Living Social, do not make me lie to get that point across!
I'm so glad someone else noticed this, I thought I was the only one.
Don't Make "Hating" Something I Love Your Marketing Tactic
I was on my way to the movies the other night when I was confronted by this ad on my Flixster app. I'm guessing I'm not the only one who's seen it and my purpose here today is to see how you all feel about Living Social's tactic. I guess I could just give you two choices: I Love Living Social ...
Our pets truly are part of the family, aren't they? We adopted a one-eyed kitty that someone dumped at our vets office last year. She's got such a wonderful personality, she keeps us laughing and the dog running around the house like a puppy (he's almost 9). Leela(yes she's named after the Futurama character) was the best thing we've done for our family.
Much luck in your walk, our pets have made a donation to honor Ferris for you!
To celebrate the legacy of our awesome dog
Last year Anne and I raised some money for the Pasadena Humane Society in memory of our awesome dog, Ferris. When I wrote about it here, Anne said: Just over 8 years ago, I made a right turn instead of a left out of the Home Depot parking lot. That was a turn that would change our lives forev...
w00tstock Chicago was hands down the best thing my husband and I have done since PAX in '08. The show totally left us wanting more, which was something I had not anticipated. I'm a geek by marriage, so I was slightly hesitant going in. I was pleasantly surprised to spend 5 hours laughing and thoroughly enjoying myself.
Thank you, and the rest of the gang for creating such a great experience!
w00tstock chicago and w00tstock minneapolis
My first post for Techland went up yesterday morning: I just got home from performing two w00tstock shows in Chicago and Minneapolis. w00tstock is a sort of nerd variety show that I produce with Paul and Storm, and Adam Savage. We and an ever-changing lineup of invited guests perform geek-relat...
Ha! I thought I was the only one that did this! I went to use my stopwatch about a month ago and realized it was already running on my iPhone. I too, did not want to stop it and it's currently sitting at 13802:00 and change.
I feel like a better geek now because I can say "Hey, Wil Wheaton did it too!" - thanks for sharing this.
time keeps on slippin'...
As some of you know, for the last six weeks, I've been working night and day on my PAX Keynote, which I deliver in 176 hours. It's been a long and sometimes agonizing road but after intensely bouncing drafts back and forth with Andrew this week, I have a draft that I can begin polishing. This me...
Congrats Wil and Anne! My hubby and I just celebrated our first year in September, I can only hope we are still as in love as you guys 9 years from now! Adorable!!
to mark the passage of three thousand six hundred and fifty-three days together
We went to Napa for our tenth anniversary. For the record: being married to your best friend rules.
