I guess, but I don't think the majority of them act for the awards...hahahahaha....of course their will be some that are for just the individual accolades, but the majority of actors are more acting for their own performance to contribute to making the best possible movie....I again haven't heard an actor say they are making a movie just so they can get the best actor in a comedy award....the award is a nice acknowledgement, but not their main goal... Just like in sports or rap, the awards are nice, but most of them want to win the championship or make a great album as their main goal...but again, of course, some are in only for self and just want the individual accolades.......... I have been stanned before so I know how that is.....I would just laugh it off....hahahahaha

I see what you are saying, but I just don't think that it is really applicable to acting.....I have never ever once heard actors talk about competiting with other actors like that....actors are more focused on themselves and how they can get better and become the best possible actor, and contribute to making the best possible movie.....the only reason he got asked that question is because he is a rapper and the media ALWAYS associates rap with beefing........

Why does everyone always try to make a competition out of something....this isn't sports, this is ACTING.......do you think Jim Carrey is asked if he is competiting with Mike Myers?......NO Whomever asked him that question is a complete moron.........

Kingdom Come and Blueprint 2 are interchangable to me, so actually they really should be 8A and 8B........hahahahahahaaha

I highly agree, I think that was his best album as well....it definitely redefined the whole rap game....... My favorite Jay album tho was Vol. 1....I know I will be in the minority with this(Jay wouldn't agree either because he doesn't like listening to Vol. 1..hahaha), but I think Vol. 1 was actually better than Reasonable Doubt.......... My personal order of Jay albums would be this: 1. Blueprint 1 (Classic album) 2. Vol. 1 (Classic album) 3. Reasonable Doubt (Classic album) 4. The Black Album (Classic album) 5. American Gangster (very very very close to classic) 6. Blueprint 3 7. Dynasty 8. Kingdom Come 9. Blueprint 2 10. Vol. 2 (I know this was the album that he reached the masses but beyond the singles, I didn't think it wasn't that great) 11. Vol. 3

I actually never liked "Good Ass Job" for an album title, but at least it stuck with the College theme(which I always thought was cool).....but "Dark Twisted Fantasy" is much much worse.....I hope he does stick with the college theme for the title, or at least put the bear somewhere on the cover............ "Power" is such a great song...I never ever doubt Kanye, he never disappoints when he drops an actual rap album, so I know this album is going to be great...I loved "Graduation" and even tho most will say "College Dropout" was his best, "Graduation" was actually my favorite Kanye album........ Kanye is the second best rapper right now behind Jay, with Lupe being third......

hahahahahahaaha....that's hilarious!

The majority of us may disagree on which particular rapper/group started the dumbing down and that's cool, but if we are going to say what region dumb down rap first, it is 100% THE SOUTH.....and the majority would definitely agree to that.....

hahahahahahahahaha.....yeah, music is very subjective so differing opinions are always going to happen and I respect your opinion......... At least we agree that "Laffy Taffy" was pure garbage.....hahahahahaha

You can't blame them because Three Six was BEFORE Nelly, J-Kwon, etc......Three Six was making dumb club songs back in the mid to late 90's......Nelly didn't come out until 2000 and "Tipsy" wasn't until 2003......its Three Six all the way........

People don't care because most of the casual fans that listen to rap are plain idiots who just follow.......think about Lil Jon's simple same sound beats....he used that same synth sound in SOOOOOOOOOOO MANY BEATS.....he actually had like literally 50 beats with that one sound..FOR YEARS....he prolly STILL using that one synth sound that started with Youngbloodz "Damn" beat and the Usher "Oh Yeah" beat in '03/'04......if you look back, Lil Jon's sorry uncreative ass really did use that one synth sound in almost every beat he made......its just sad how most of rap is soooooooooooooo uncreative and dumb

hahahahaha.....yeah, I couldn't believe when that happened.......that was a very sad day for music.....hahahahaha

The only song I can recall liking from them was "Sippin on Some Syrup"........but that was because of UGK and the beat, which I am sure Pimp C did most of the work than Paul and Juicy with that.......... Soulja Boy has taken it to the extreme with the dumbness, but I still think Three Six paved the way for it.....D4L and "Laffy Taffy" was at the time it came out the worst song ever made and it was before Soulja Boy, so he definitely can't be blamed for it..... Soulja Boy has actually gotten worse, with every new single he hits new levels of dumb...."Pretty Boy Swag" is the worst single I have ever heard in my life, and that is saying something with all the crap that many of these nursery rhyme rappers produce.....worse than any single Soulja Boy has ever dropped before........

Nah, it was dumb, but it was funny and clever. Raunchy was 2 Live Crew's whole style......I never thought my intellegence was being insulted with it actually...Three Six took rap to a new level of dumbness.....they weren't clever or funny, just simplistic elementary level bullshit.........

They both hit the mainstream around the same time, but Three Six was worse to me than the Big Tymers honestly........And at least Mannie is a all-time great producer who was on top of his game during the late 90's....DJ Paul and Juicy J's beats ALL sound the same....with the hi hats on display in every beat......hahahahaha

Actually, I am prolly going to get some flack for saying this, but it didn't start with Soulja Boy....it started with Three Six Mafia....... Three Six Mafia started all of this stupid simplistic song garbage with songs like: "ass and titties, ass and titties"....or "gel and weave, gel and weave", and "chicken chicken, chicken head, boy please".......hahahahahahahaha I would start the blame with them...............

Nah, BABY AKA THE BIRDMAN is the most prolific and intricate writer of both the 20th and 21st Centuries. His complex rhyme scheme, inordinate wordplay, and magnificant flow are just pure brillance. BABY AKA THE BIRDMAN is well respect throught the world as the master of the triple entendre, and his lyrical dexterity is quite legendary. His knack for imaginative storytelling is unmatched. Peep the way BABY AKA THE BIRDMAN vividly describes a woman he met in Juvenile's song "Be Gone": There's a story about a bitch named Sally A hot girl, lived in that rat-hoe alley She stayed sharp, stayed rockin' Balance And a fat pussy, laid down in the Cadi' Back of the seat or back of the Palace I'm a Hot Boy it really don't matter My brother K.C plays them tellers That'll jump off, hit a stepper, whatever Michael Kipper, James Peter got a big better Dick gotta a bitch in Miami a dick-sweater Like Delores from A.T.L, "The Freak of the Week" She did me, Slim, Joe, and Tiki I don't care, bitch just ride Shake yo' pussy, and shake yo' thigh Get yo' hat, get yo' coat, it's time to ride Baby girl lookin' at me like she surprise

I actually didn't know it was his mom that used to manage them.......... Gucci Mane, Waka, and Nicki Minaj are three of the wackest rappers not just right now, but that have ever come out.....they insult people's intellegence everytime they spit their nursery rhyme bullshit.....them and Plies, OJ Da Juiceman, and Soulja Boy are just plain trash and I don't see how anyone can listen to that simple garbage......hahahahaha

When I get called a hater on here, I just tell them that I can't like everything......just because I don't like something doesn't automatically make me a hater.....the same thing with dickrider....just because I am a fan of someone doesn't automatically make me a dickrider.......it is stupid the way people use those words on here........it is so misused.....hahahahahaha

I think when something is 100% branded as a classic it all comes down to majority actually(I usually don't like the notion that majority rules but this is a legitimate example of it)....I actually think the majority(credible fans that is..hahaha) would agree with me in that at least one of those Hot Boys CDs are classics if not both.....and I think the majority would say Stillmatic is a classic, which would disagree with what I think about it.... So personally, I can be ok with Stillmatic being labeled as a classic even tho I don't think it is(close but not classic to me) because the majority of respectable and credible fans(not stupid casual) think so.....the majority usually doesn't get it wrong when labeling something as classic in my mind..... Which tracks would you skip on those first two Hot Boys CDs?
Yes, Stillmatic was not a classic....it is overrated, partly I think because of when it came out.....it was close, but not a classic, sorry......Nas is one of my favorite rappers btw...... You omitted the fact that I also put The War Report, Blueprint 1, College Dropout, and Hell Hath No Fury AS classics in my comment......so if saying Stillmatic was not a classic makes me part of the hiphop problem while I patiently wait to buy J. Cole's(the next big thing) debut and Lupe's new album than so be it.......hahahahahahaa
1 reply
No, I never call anyone a hater on here....hahahahahaha.....that and dickrider are the most misused words......

A classic album can have one or two skippable tracks.....I skip track 5 "Jigga my N****" on Blueprint everytime and that album is a classic.....College Dropout was a classic and you can skip "Workout plan" everytime......The War Report was a classic album, but "Illegal Life" and "Black Gangstal" are two tracks that I skip.......Hell Hath No Fury was a classic and I skip "Wamp Wamp" everytime(I hate that song).... Of course there are some classics that have no tracks that need to be skipped like Reasonable Doubt, but one or two skipped tracks does not prevent an album from being a classic..... The first two Hot Boys CDs are classic southern albums....no question about it...look at the influence they had.....how many tracks on you skipping on those.....the only track I would skip on the second would be "Tuesday and Thursday".....those two and 400 Degreez(still the best Cash Money CD) are the three best Cash Money albums......classic albums to me, Trust me, I don't like to throw classic out to lightly.....Stillmatic to me was NOT a classic...that had more skippable tracks than the Hot Boys CDs.......

Mannie Fresh is on the greatest producers of all-time....a lot of his beats recently are repetitive and have not been good, but he is definitely underrated regardless...... I get what you are saying on the Mystikal thing......I don't condone rape whatsoever....but he says he was innocent....if I remember the story correctly, the girl either stole money from him or owed him money, something like that, and he made her give head as some sort of compensation on tape......I don't know if he is truly guilty of rape or not, but I am still looking forward to his new music......I always thought he was underrated as an MC........

I always say on here that music is very subjective and everyone is entitled to their opinion....on Renegade, I really don't think Em got him on that at all...I liked Jay's verses better....I think it is popular to say so because of Nas, but Jay was nice on that song, so even if Em got the better of him, it wasn't by much........... On the recycling, EVERYONE has recycled something....people recycle Jay lyrics ALL OF THE TIME so it goes both ways.....Jay has PLENTY of his own lyrics to prove his abilities......you couldn't have that many great albums without your own lyrical ability being great......are you saying Jay isn't a great lyricist? With the lyrics, I get what you are saying because lyrics don't matter that much to the casual fan.....but lyrics aren't the only thing to show who is on top anyway...there are many factors to what makes a great rapper....Jay is still on top because of many factors, not just lyrical ability.......
