The time where the world comes together to celebrate and support and cheer on there team to win the world cup. Hopefully it'll be a very exciting and eventfully world cup with lots of drama and excitement and keep us all sitting on the edge of our seats. I do realise that this is a couple of days late according to the date at the top of the blog, but i have been a busy person... Continue reading

June 6th 1944
Sixty-six years ago today was one of the most remarkable days in history. The day that the Normandy invasion happen, but it's better know as D-Day.This day should be used to remember those who served there counrty and for those who lost there life during this time and maybe even imagine what it would be like if what happened on this remarkable day never actually happened, how different every thing would be. I strongly beleive that we have much to thank these people who fought and helped on this day sixty-six years ago for and that we should take a... Continue reading

it's simply awsome! It makes it better that's it's in the 1950's style.
The Empire Strikes Back (1950)
I think this may be the most impressive Star Wars parody/tribute/whatever I've ever seen, and I've seen some truly great ones. This makes me want to do a 13 episode webseries, probably serialized 3 minutes at a time, that's entirely done in the 1950s Sci-Fi style, with locations at Vasquez R...
Don't know where i'm heading
I've been thinking recently about where my life is heading and were i could go and the things i want to do the things i've always wanted to do but either never got round to or did'nt have a clue where to start. So i have now decided to take a big step and do some of them or at least give some of them a go i might one day get them all done who knows! Well i do'nt know if any of you are in the same place as me or if you have been here and have... Continue reading

Your uniqueness
Today i thought i'd write a post about being unique. Don't ask me why i feel like i need to i just do for some strange unoknown reason so bare with me as i babble on. I find hard to believe that some people don't value people's individualality as this make's each and everyone of us special in our own way and different, because everyone has there own talents, some things they can do better then other. If we were all good at the same things then we would not get much done, or not very well done at that,... Continue reading

one reasons why!!!!!!
One of the reasons, I have not been posting an awful lot is because I have become totally addictied to this game Dragon age : the origins. I cant seem to pull myself away from it not for anything in the world, which i know is pretty bad but it also means the game is awfully good. It takes me away from everyday life and stresses and completely gets me 100% involed in it's world and characters and there are many fun quests to do and many ways the game can go i spend hours trying to figure parts out... From the Vault: Still Cool
This is excerpted from something that was written eight years ago, almost to the day. In addition to being a story that still makes me smile, it provides context and back story for Friday's post that newer readers may not have. Even though I'm a much stronger and more confident writer now than I...

It's been raining pretty steadily, very heavy at times, since yesterday afternoon. The weather service says we should expect this to continue for at least a week, but it could go on for up to two weeks. I mention this because it hardly ever happens here, and if people weren't truly in danger fro...

Helping Shawn Powers
Shawn Powers, who edits Linux Journal and is a friend to geeks everywhere, lost his house to a fire today. Scalzi says: Shawn Powers, a friend of Whatever and also a frequent commenter here, has had a very bad day: His house has burned up. The good news is Shawn, his wife and children are safe; ...
nice photo i guess every town in every country in the world has a picture like this and thats just my guess
a decidedly unglamorous urban scene
I was going south on Highland, stopped six or so cars behind the light on Hollywood, when I took this picture yesterday afternoon. You can't see it, because it's just out of the frame on the left, but if you were to face north and go past that bar, you would an empty storefront that still ha...
