I've got a confession to make: my all-or-nothing, perfectionist streak that has got me stuck in my tracks. I want to lose the baby weight, purge my home, make all of our food from scratch, sew a wardrobe for myself and two boys, undertake a number of home improvement projects,... Continue reading

Super simple and equally chic, these statement pieces make the perfect gift. Hip sisters, cool friends, and rad moms can be hard... Continue reading

Hi Lindsey, Yes I did. The base was just a box that I glued strips of fringed tissue to. It was simple although a little time consuming. If I were to do it again I would cut a few holes in the box and tape newspaper over the holes before adding tissue because it was too sturdy! An adult had to end up breaking it, but that did mean lots of turns for each kid! Good luck and thanks for reading! - Carla

Hi Melissa! Ive been really happy with that machine so far. My leather was quite soft and fairly thin (not sure how it would do with meatier stuff) but with a leather needle it just chugged along no problem, even with the vinyl! The machine comes with a bunch of extra stuff, including a walking foot so thats the one I used. I hope this helps, happy sewing! - Carla
