I have been searching for a way to understand what is the truth without having to believe either party.
It seems the easiest way to is ponder on why, out of 6 boats the Israelis captured, only one experienced violence on board.
That leads me to believe the Israelis are telling the truth. The peace activists on 5 of the boats accepted their capture whereas on the 6th boat they mounted an offensive.
Anyone who accuses the Israelis of being bent on perpetrating unprovoked violence is therefore talking from their prejudices and not from the facts.
