I loved this very moving post. Congratulations on the imminent arrival of twins in your life! I share your feelings: being a parent is the hardest thing I've ever done too. I will say that it does get easier, but then it gets richer and more complex too.
On Parenthood
Our son was born March 12th, 2009. He's a little over two and a half years old. Now, I am the wussiest wuss to ever wuss up the joint, so take everything I'm about to say with a grain of salt – but choosing to become a parent is the hardest thing I have ever done. By far. Everything else pales ...
TB scored once early, and Tim bore down. I love that the entire team fought back. We need a faster start in Game 6!
Tim Thomas Makes Incredible Sprawling Save Against Lightning in Game 5 of Eastern Conference Final (Video)
Tim Thomas made headlines over the weekend when he essentially guaranteed the Bruins would win their best-of-seven Eastern Conference final series. On Monday night, he did all he could to make sure that would happen. Thomas, who made his guarantee after his team lost Game 4, made arguably the sa...
Mike Smith in goal for Tampa Bay, but it shouldn't matter: Bruins have to come out hard. Let's go B's!
Bruins Live Blog: B's Take 3-1 Victory in Game 5 at Garden, Move One Win Away from Stanley Cup Final Berth
Final, Bruins 3-1: The Bruins got great goaltending from Tim Thomas and just enough offense as they pull out a 3-1 win and take a 3-2 lead in the Eastern Conference Final. They'll have they first chance to close out the series and move on to the Stanley Cup Finals for the first time since 199...
I saw some positives from the Bruins in the third period of Game 4. I saw the Bruins pressuring TB, and they seemed to be getting back on track. If it weren't for the Lucic mistake on the game-winner, I think we could have gotten the equalizer. It's four hours before game time as I write this: I hope the Bruins can get this important win!
Do You Think Momentum Plays a Factor in the NHL Playoffs?
The Bruins and Lightning have had trouble taking advantage of home-ice thus far, but with the teams tied up and heading back to Boston for Game 5, does either team have the momentum? After Tampa Bay took Game 1 in Boston, the B's took a 2-1 series lead with two straight wins -- one in Boston a...
Tom, that's a great idea to have the Winter Classic outside of NHL cities! I vote for Madison or Milwaukee, Wisconsin, or Seattle, Washington.
Winter Classic Revitalizing Hockey in U.S., But Moving Event to Creative New Sites Would Make It Even Better
It's been nearly a year since they played outdoor hockey at Fenway Park. That's right, nearly a year. The Bruins' overtime win in the Winter Classic was held on Jan. 1, 2010, but don't forget about the college hockey doubleheader a week later, won by New Hampshire's women and Boston University...
I forget that Ray Allen was a UConn alum! The UConn women's team has an unparalleled winning streak. Congrats to them!
Former Husky Ray Allen in Awe of Geno Auriemma's Work With UConn Women
UConn women's basketball coach Geno Auriemma made news this week in more ways than one. Not only did he lead his Huskies to their 89th consecutive win, an all-time record, but he also turned some heads by complaining about the way women's sports are treated in today's media. It didn't take lon...
I agree with this article! TNT showed some of Erik's half-time speech to his team. His delivery felt wooden to me. I know it's probably a question of getting some more experience, but Miami's powers-that-be may soon decide that this team isn't the right place for a coach-in-training.
Erik Spoelstra Enhancing Doc Rivers' Legacy as Coach to the Stars
It really wasn't a very long time ago when Celtics fans were clamoring for Doc Rivers to be fired. After three seasons at the helm of the C's, Rivers' record was, well, terrible. Their win total declined each season, going from 45 in 2004-05, to 33 the following year and a hard-to-stomach 24 i...
