Create with love, laughter and a bit of whimsy, and we're sure to illuminate our world.
Interests: My passion is to create joy and love through our spirit. I've discovered that a figment of my imagination is a little bit of heaven inside of me expectin' to get out. We are blessed to be creative and are meant to share our talents, so let’s inspire one another to shine. ------- I dabble in mixed media, collage, altered books, altered art, photography, painting, scrapping, journaling and writing. I teach sewing and ribbon embroidery and had a needle in my hand since I was 14. I want sewing to be fun, fashion or art.-----------I'm a southern gal and have decided to be more creative in my second half of life.. ha ha -- full of imagination and heart. Let's be generous and grateful Let's Create, Imagine & Illuminate as Morning Dew Drops. My spiritual inspiration..." ...Out of the womb of the morning will spring forth Your young creating anew who are as the dew." (my interpretation of Psalm 110:3)

(If you missed Part 1, click - The Art of the Voyage Keeper - Part 1) The voyage keeper gives you abandonment to find your creative inner self no matter what you do as a parent, teacher, businessman or friend. Entrepreneurs find it resourceful for brainstorming. We record in our voyage keeper daily which causes us to continuously replenish our creative well. No pre-thinking is necessary and that’s the beauty of it. We simply doodle, draw or write. This daily abandonment releases thoughts within our hearts and keeps us fluid. Our voyage keeper gives us more room for thought-space and... Continue reading

Everything heretofore barren and unfruitful shall overflow with spiritual blessing and the follower will take the lead in 2015. Maybe you’re to follow me so that you can take the lead. I need you to follow me. 13 Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him who sows the seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine and all the hills shall melt [that is, everything heretofore barren and unfruitful shall overflow with spiritual blessing]. (Amos 9:13 AMP) Today, we know what happens anywhere in the world... Continue reading

What is Tsu.co (pronounced Sue)? Better yet, is Tsu.co for you? If so, as a member I am inviting you to join. Tsu.co gained 1M members in just 5 weeks and is a free social network & payment platform that shares 90% of revenues with its users. I was invited to join Tsu.co from the founder of a mom’s group that I love, so that alone gave this new social network credibility worth checking out. I joined Tsu.co because my audience is joining and as any entrepreneur knows you go where your audience goes not where you think they go.... Continue reading

God is giving me many crowns; now He’s crowned me as a “Creative Coach Extraordinaire” and all I’m doing is forming what God created. Our imagination is creative energy and when brought to the heights of love and faith, God multiplies its force field as we powerfully co-create with Him. I am extremely grateful for His creative demonstrations in my life; these bite size treasures are adding up quickly, so much so I can’t keep up; I have to write them down. I often say “What’s in Your Dewdrop?” I write it down; one dewdrop idea at a time until... Continue reading

“A goal is a dream without deadlines.” – Napolean Hill – God made us spiritual beings to create and when we do what God created us to do, we take our passionate pursuits to a higher level of focus and those pursuits slowly become an art form uniquely our own. No matter if it’s baking a pie, cutting hair or constructing homes – we, collectively as one, have an art form harmonious to heaven and earth. I bring heaven to earth even in my artful messes. Angels lift me up as I stumble over steps I pursue least I dash... Continue reading

I've been blogging since 2010 as Morning Dewdrops; yet I've been working on another entity for over ten years not even knowing where it would lead. Has God ever done that to you? Moved you into arenas that best suit your passionate pursuits - we'll learn all about that too, I just have to open up about this new venture because I'm so excited. We'll have some birthing pains for a little while longer as I marry Morning Dewdrops into a cohesive entity with Mom Magnate (that's the title He gave me for our new venture together; I rather like... We're posting Part 2 on Marblizing Fabric with Shaving Cream. Please read Part 1 of 2 of the tutorial to learn about the supplies we used, tips and technique tricks and additional resources used. You're sure to love all the little extras we learned along the way to make this fun project even easier! Part 2 is more about the sewing and completing the outfits. Natalie loved mixing the paint into the shaving cream. She soon was doing it all by herself -- laying down the fabric and scraping off the shaving cream/paint mixture. Natalie chose the blue and silver... Continue reading

This technique is so fun and easy! It's definitely not new, but I've been wanting to do it again and post tips and technique tricks about marblizing fabric with shaving cream. The post is a 2-part post, so please be sure and read both posts to see more gorgeous results as well as seeing how Natalie, who is now 8 years old, learned this technique and see her modeling her outfit. This post will mainly consist of what you will need and how this works. THESE TIPS AND TECHNIQUE TRICKS WILL SAVE YOU QUITE A BIT OF TIME - definitely... Continue reading

Last time y'all saw Natalie she was doing a little bit of quilting to make the cover of her Stitch & Sew Book Sampler. Simple quilting is nothing more than stitching over two pieces of fabric with some type of padding (batting) in between. Here Natalie is stitching in straight rows. Natalie also recently learned she could sew on cardstock and make her own unique Sew Cards!! But what about the pages of her Stitch Book. Well it's already October and Natalie is now 8 years old. She's been busy selecting from different embroidery stitches she wants to include in... Continue reading

Needle-Felted Spider on Apron Bib Spins her Web and Catches a Cocoon I'm known as the Spider Lady at Halloween. We have the biggest spiders at our house in the whole city, so I've been told. So when all the ghost and gobblins come to our door will they get a treat? or a trick? Or will they be caught in my web and spun for safekeeping? The apron bib and pockets were machine needle felted with wool roving, angelina fibers and scraps of netting, tulle, craft felt and yarns. The spider was needle-felted and shaped with black wool roving.... Continue reading

Natalie is learning the rewards of sewing and knows to take her time, drive slow and be patient, BUT OH the REWARDS! Sew let's check in on Natalie and see how it's going. Here's Natalie sewing a ribbon border around the hem of her dress, and YES, it's a pillow case. Natalie says that if her sewing machine could talk, she'd want it to say, "Pressure Bar Down!" LOL -- And for those of you who sew, wouldn't this be wonderful! As Natalie was sewing her bobbin thread tangled under the needleplate, so we stopped to fix the problem. We... Continue reading

Natalie says, "Girls, this apron is not just for cooking!" So get out your big glam flowers to wear with it & CReaTe! Natalie's making a fashion statement in her designer apron. Adorable aprons have been in stores in big numbers in the past few years, but we've gone one stronger. We created our own pattern and used mod-fabulous fabric in a stripe of lime green, pink & zebra print. There is no other apron like this in the world. Natalie discovered she can wear her apron while sewing, drawing and just being the artist that she is. She can... Continue reading

First grader, Natalie, is back to show all her friends and other girls her age just how much fun sewing can be. She's creating a "Stitch & Sketch" fabric art journal. Natalie is actually quilting the journal cover. She learned about interfacing and how it makes the fabric stiffer. We placed some felt in between two pieces of fabric for padding. Natalie will eventually end up with puffy little stitched squares as her quilting design on her fabric art journal cover. Natalie sewed on her zebra-print ribbon tie closure -- Look how close to the edge of the ribbon her... Continue reading

I've named my postcard, "Create Multiple Possibilities!" The theme this year for the postcard swap is "Create!" My premise is that you can create many things with one idea. I knew from the beginning that I would try various image transfer techniques from one image. The image I used was a picture of an old Chevy Pickup Truck I had taken a few years back while riding around one Sunday afternoon with my husband. I actually made a tri-fold postcard. (full) The postcard is made entirely of paper and some of the lettering is stitched. The truck is going in... Continue reading
