Some days, making soup is the solution for everything... The act of making it is a labor of love for sure. The steam coming from the stock pot humidifies the air, the broth boosts immunity, and the soup is... well, it's spoonful after spoonful of soothing delicious yum. Go away... Continue reading

I was having a great time paper-piecing the flower medallion for the center of this doll quilt but... when it came time to applique it down (tucking the seam allowances underneath those pointy points) ~ yuck! My plan was to make a pattern of this doll quilt, but if I... Continue reading

hi Susanna! well I hate to say it, but of course this fabric is an older print, I bought it from Superbuzzy many years ago and I've never seen it anywhere else. It was perfect for this project, I think, though, right? xo amy

It's been all about the trees over here... Tall, tall, trees... if you ask my little Mia. And despite the sudden time-warp closeness to Christmas (I thought there were weeks to go, but no, it's days away!), I even managed to write up a pattern for this one. You kinda... Continue reading

hello Sigi! thank you so much for taking the time to dig out your recipe! I appreciate it and I am going to give the above recipe a try. I could eat soup every day and I agree with your dad ~ almost everything should begin with an onion!!! xo amy

I'm 40. Oh, it's fabulous, they say. We'll see... It certainly started off not-so-bad. I love this illustration my super talented friend drew up for me. (I especially love how young she made me look although 10 might be pushing it a little. But only just a little ;) Thanks... Continue reading

First, can I say, it was painfully hard to choose just one design. We did, though, and our Christmas cards from Minted have arrived and we think they're our best yet! "We" being the Christmas card committee at my house (that's me, my husband and Olivia). We all loved this... Continue reading

hi Julie! nope, never lived in Sydney, though i'd love to visit some day ;) That cursive font is called "Bombshell Pro" and it's one of many beautiful fonts by Emily Lime (I think that's her name). It runs about $50 but is totally worth it if you use fonts a lot. cheers and thanks for buying my book!!!!! xo amy

A few weeks ago I summoned up the courage to take pics of my little ones for our Christmas cards. Surprisingly there were no tears (from me) and no swearing (from them, haha). It was weird. Two nearly painless fifteen minute sessions and I was done!!! That... is my Christmas... Continue reading

I kept telling myself I'll share the Halloween pics once I've finished my Halloween Spooky Sampler and my goal was to finish the entire stitchery a few weeks ago (???). Now... Continue reading

I've discovered the perfect pink. It's more of a blush really... the palest of pinks. I found it in my stash and there's less than a 1/4 yard left but I don't know what it is!!! (I have a feeling it's Kaufman Kona in Pearl Pink, but I won't know... Continue reading
