Recently I shared a pic of my writing desk ~ it's very civilized and upstairs in my room. Want to see where all the hard work gets done? That would be in my studio... ahem, I mean, sweatshop, cough, I mean garage, I mean workroom... and it's being featured today... Continue reading

I felt a bit rusty, but it was fun to do an embroidery project this week. I used a very pale mint green linen that I'd purchased years ago from JoAnn's as the base and chose a few skeins of cotton floss as well as some Appleton crewel wool. (Appleton... Continue reading

hello Jen, I have heard that the tags printed beautifully and I'm surprised you had a problem since this was a pdf, however I've gone into the file and made some tweaks. You will have to download the file again and it should be perfect. I apologize! xo amy xo amy nanaCompany
It's pretty hard to miss that my Paperie fabric collection lends itself really well to Valentine's Day. So of course I had to take some of those sweet motifs to make some tags and seals for us. Get the free Valentine Gift Tag printable here. It looks like this: Print... Continue reading

Patchwork is fun but garments make me nervous. Sooo this year I've decided to tackle garment making head-on. I mean, yes, I've made a few dresses for the girls in the past ~ but this year I want to try sewing sleeves, shorts, more complex frocks, and even something for... Continue reading

I was really excited about my Tall Tall Trees bed runner ~ made exclusively with Paperie fabrics and Pure Elements. I added the borders and a few extra shots of color. But after several minutes of quilting I immediately began to feel uneasy. I was pretty sure I should rip... Continue reading

I have been planning and scheming with a spool of thread... It's my new favorite: Aurifil variegated thread 4654 in 28 wt. And I gave it a first try the other night, on a patchwork of AGF Pure Elements set against my "Stamped" print from Paperie. I've got bigger plans... Continue reading

I used AGF Pure Elements in 420, 411, 426, 444, and 410 (the dark grey, which I don't think was the best choice) along with solid white, and random scraps of Paperie in the grey border. The Pure Elements can be found on Art Gallery Fabrics website for reference, purchase them wherever they're sold. When I make my bigger version I think I'm going to use solids and prints for the hearts :)

One of my favorite prints from Paperie is the heart print, "happily ever after". And while preparing for Fall Quilt Market 2015 I stitched up this mini as a re-creation of that print: { photo credit: AGF Studio } I'd like to make a bigger quilt using my "half-hearted" block... Continue reading

hi Shannon, I end up making all my own pillow forms because my cases are all odd sizes. As this cushion finishes at 16 x 12" I generally make an insert that exact same size. xo xo amy nanaCompany
