Hello, Sandy! I am delighted you loved the way I collected our photos here to share. I am a childrens book illustrator and used the same programs I use to illustrate my childrens books to draw and add in the paper details here. These programs I use for my illustration and design work are expensive, so I direct others to check out the less expensive Adobe Photoshop Elements program to those who are interested in creating special scrapbook like collections of their favorite family photos. I truly appreciate you spending time enjoying our website and what we share here with you. Thank you, Sandy! Warmly, ~heather
Carla, these are beautifully designed and Ronan rocks in the cuteness department! You can not rush a great design (or the time you spend with a newborn), so the wait was worth it. Great tutorial to boot for those who want to follow suit! ~heather

From a designer: these magazine covers rock as much as the insides you have given praise here for—I love the simple, modern design. Smiles here at your mention of our regions's very own Stone Barns we visited together. I love coming by and reading up on your new posts. I have a little guy on my lap soaking in his Nana's photography and experiences with me. ~heather

Why, this reminds me! While we are on opposite ends of the earth (so we are ankle deep in snow right now), I DO have some of our summer's zucchini harvest in the freezer just waiting to be made up into something and eaten! Thanks for the reminder! We have never made bread and butter pickles with ours—delish! ~heather

I do not know where to begin with my comments for my discoveries here in your space today. This healthy cookie recipe here is a must-try for us (we love parsnips and carrots). I have seen a photographic musing in one of your previous posts, some autumn magic with some sweet little pumpkin faces I recognize, and your reflections on a package of some cookies we baked and sent your way—this last one I had smiled at upon discovering on my last visit to your blog. Those hermit cookies were worth making again, weren't they? Full of goodstuffs here. ~h.
