Art Artistry loves the black-cock!
Just a note: all other video I tried hulu/Crackle/etc. worked fine. So, I'm not sure where they problem was. Regardless, that shouldn't be the customers responsibilty to find out.
I have to strongly disagree about Charter. I wanted to keep my streaming, but was having problems with too many dropped frames with most SD and some HD movies. That whole jerky/choppy/stuttery/strobed video. Charter was no help; no surprise there. When I called Netflix and told them about my problems, they didn't seem to care, they made no attempts to fix my issues. The CSR just said, "yeah we've had problems with that, sorry". He was nice and courteous, but made no attempt to solve my issues. He was just sorry that the service would not work for me, and I was cancelling. I didn't try to escalate the issue, it's just streaming video that won't work. No need for added stress. I just feel like streaming ain't quite there yet. When you have a problem with NF streaming, it's the blame game between NF, your ISP, and maybe Roku/Sony/Blu ray player manufacter/etc. It's just not worth the hassle for B-movies and current or coming data caps from the ISPs. Sorry for the long winded, no paragraph break rant, but I'm just frustrated for bearing the burden of fixing something I pay good $ for, that should work anyway.
This does seem odd. I had Blockbuster Online 3 or 4 years ago and I still have full access to my queue there. I have no plans to go back with BB but at least I can add movies that are not available thru NF - mainly older out-of-print movies and see if they are available. As others have said, it would make sense to keep the queue active as an incentive to resubscribe. But Netflix and common sense don't seem to be getting along lately.
Greed Hastings can tongue-punch my hairy fart-box!
When will the increases stop? SD streaming is horrid and not worth an increase. At least they made my decision easy. I just cancelled. Amazon prime, BB online and Redbox it is. I'm not saying that these companies are great, not by any stretch of the imagination. There was a time when NF was cheaper than one movie channel on cable, 3 at a time plan. Now I can get two movies channels for the new cost of NF. You broke my heart NF. We should have known that they would eventually turn into the cable companies - just keep raising the prices. Steve Swasey molests collies.
Oh well, day number two, down again. This is becoming an all too regular occurrence. Monopolies are never a good thing. Someone please compete with Netflix. Their regular outages, removal of features and general arrogant attitude towards their customers is getting really old. I don't want to cancel, but they are slowly but surely pushing me in that direction. Now it's time for the "mine's working fine" and "Netflix rocks, get a life" crowd to chime in. Carry on!
Not working here on computer, ipad and sony media player. NF is on fuego this week with the bad news. When it rains, it pours.
