Anytime we chose to force a piece into ‘this’ puzzle (whatever your puzzle is made of at this moment) that doesn’t belong, we lose. We lose energy, energy from pounding one piece against another when it doesn’t fit. Continue reading

“Okay, get on your quad.” Shouted the lady who looked in charge of bossing us around. Get on the quad? Should I use this time to tell her that I failed my bike-riding exam 5 years ago? Should I tell her that I almost killed my instructor by squeezing the accelerator instead of the brake during my test? No, I decided. Just copy Kristal and Vanessa. Stick to plan. Don’t divert. Diverting gets you in trouble. Continue reading

I can only imagine the look on my face when my co-worker said these words to me. I didn't have a mirror in front of me but I'm sure if I would have, the look I would have seen staring back at me would have made me fall into a sorrowful, pitiful and utterly disastrous booger slopping cry. A good road trip will allow you to sing bad songs, stop for useless pictures at scenic spots, spot some wild life in nature doing some sort wildlife in nature type thing and maybe stop at a fruit stand to buy a watermelon because every road tripping person needs fruit to pass the time, on their way to a new city. How was a newly pregnant girl supposed to act; should I be reserved and demure; perhaps, majestic and motherly; pensive and wise? I walked along going through the catalog of traits I thought a mother was supposed to encompass and wanted, at will, to be the mom in the Brady Bunch, Cosby Show- or even the mom from One Day At A Time with red hair and scattered all the time- instead I was behaving more like Laverne and Shirly off beat and quirky and swimming in my oddity. Nice. I'd like one with twinkly lights for the evening.

Nice pictures, it looks like a magazine layout- good job. I've only been yanked out a veggie state, twice this year, once for a very unworthy bbq rib and another time for a pastrami sandwich (A.K.A. the redemption sandwich).

Thank you Jeff, your support means the world to me. I so admire you. So thank you for taking the time.
Thank you, UglyLikeMe, the feety PJ's and fort sessions might be necessary, but when should we schedule the: In the mud fossil searches? The bottom line is, that no matter how much we're told that time will pass all too quickly, and that we must "enjoy each moment" while our kids are with us. I don't think we're ever prepared for how true it is and how fast it comes, until we're yelling at the dog and eating raisinets with popcorn. ;)
