Don't know about Miss smarty pants but it's progress!
zippered pouch.
I am not a sewer. In fact if Bruce has ever needed jeans or pants taken up he will pay someone to do it rather than have me go near them. So when I got my sewing machine for Christmas I thought I would manage to sew enough to make some quilts but little else. Then I kept seeing such amazing stuf...

Haha not a bad influence, just very helpful! Had a look at the website and had to quickly look away before I spent too much!

Thank you! So looking forward to Friday.
not so average.
It's been a fairly average week in our household. The weather the last couple of days has been absolute bollocks and I was so not looking forward to taking Gina out to ballet last night, until I saw this sky, and I was so happy to be out and about to get to see it.

Things Im luvin
The school holidays have come and gone so flippin fast but during that time there has been some really cool moments. You know sometimes things happen that really make you grateful for nice people. I did a airport run and dropped off my mum-in-law at the check in counter. So after goodbyes I hea...

Do it! You will love them.
honey spiced roasted nuts.
I had a friend up in the school holidays who made these nuts for us. I think it was this recipe although she just used ordinary honey that we had in the cupboard, not lemon honey. They are so delicious - the perfect, sweet, but not too sweet snack.

It is so cool - we were totally impressed.

I had a friend visiting this week with her granddaughter so we took the girls out to Butterfly Creek. Ever since we moved to Auckland Gina has been dying to go there so it was good to finally get around to it. It is a really great day out for younger children. The butterfly ...

Nice photo of you and Carly in there eh?
project life week 15.
This was a fun week to document. The first part of the week was pretty ordinary, but I headed away in the weekend to Bloggers Connecting in Christchurch. Unfortunately I didn't take many photos but I had enough photos and stuff to make an insert, which I like the look of to break up the same ...
Thanks Leonie.

I'm all about the sewing at the moment. I have a huge list of things I want to make and I am feeling very motivated to create. Long may that last! Even though I haven't sewed in many years (and then not much at all) I am loving learning some new skills. I did Deb's bunting workshop at the Blogg...
I found a better tutorial for these so will give it a try in the weekend I reckon.
