With everything else going on - the retirement COLA cuts, obamacare, more lies about Benghazi, and on and on.... Let's just say there's a whole lot more important stuff in my AO. All I'll say is that it's fiction, and - by definition - not real. It's only "entertainment" - a diversion to waste some down-time on - NOT to be taken too seriously. If it's supposed to be funny, fine - M.A.S.H. wasn't very realistic, either. If they go out of their way to insult the service, and catering only to the anti-military crowd, they'll be canceled in short order for lack of viewers. If they go out of their way to treat service members with a measure of honesty and dignity, they'll build a decent base of support and it may last a spell. I'll give it a shot - if I have time - but I sincerely doubt that the success or failure of a single sit-com will have ANY effect on "The-Fate-of-Western-Civilization-As-We-Know-It".....

I would suggest that "bob" revisit the history and repercussions of the 18th Amendment, and observe that - considering the incoherent drivel he wrote - perhaps he was celebrating the 21st Amendment a bit too much while he wrote it. ...then again, it's not likely that would help with his problem.

Sunni versus Shi'a aside, never forget that the bone-deep hatred between Arabs (Saudi's, et al) and Persians (Iran) existed for HUNDREDS (if not thousands) of years BEFORE the pedophile "prophet" of islam ever crawled out from his mama's....um......from under her skirts.

"If you know yourself and your enemy, you will not be endangered in a hundred battles. If you know yourself but you do not know your enemy, you will win half your battles and lose half your battles. If you know neither your enemy nor yourself, you are a fool to go to war." --- Sun Tzu Three guesses which category King Putt falls under.... "Victorious warriors win first and then go to war, while defeated warriors go to war first and then seek to win." --- Sun Tzu There's good reason why that old general still resonates after more than 2000 years' time.

On a tangent, but related note: 1. the War Powers Act; 2. excessive Executive Orders; 3. a Supreme Court decision unaccountably "altered" at the last moment (Chief Justice Roberts' 11th hour change of heart); 4. Dept. of "Justice" selectively enforcing laws on voter intimidation, anti-gun laws, immigration laws, marijuana enforcement; 5....and on and on and on. There is far too much power sliding into the Executive Branch, to the detriment of the other two Branches - AND the rest of us poor schmucks who actually pay the taxes which FUND all this insanity, not to mention those of us who have or will actually saddle-up to defend this nation. I believe the Founders decided NOT to put a "king" in charge of the newly-minted U.S. of A. Didn't they?

I've always said that wearing the uniform doesn't make anyone a Sinner OR a Saint. ...and, is there not a regulation concerning POLITICAL activities while in uniform? ....or is that another reg "honored" more in the breach than the observance?

Well said. Mission Focus helps prevent Tunnel Vision. ...in other words: Clarity of purpose is something lost on lawyers in their perpetual search for finer hairs.

LOL...I like that. And I gotta agree, but with one more thing: When it comes to "world leaders" with their fingers on buttons that do really nasty things, the variations of "least stable" may be a distinction without a difference.

Which people? King Putt owns his actions, and with the Russian? ....even a blind squirrel sometimes finds a nut, and a fact is a fact, no matter which rodent finds it.

I'm a retired grunt, not JAG, but I can find no flaws in his reasoning. King Putt's handlers always write half a dozen little "escape clauses" in just about everything they have him say, but that "red line" comment was likely something "off-prompter". Do we shred the Constitution just to cover the checks his mouth wrote that his rump can't cover? If Congress says "no" and he orders the strike anyway, then the Joint Chiefs have a VERY important question to ask themselves. Simply put: "Is the order legal or not?" If not, then it's their DUTY to disobey it. How have we gone so far down the rabbit hole that we need to consult lawyers before doing what we're trained to do?

We can bet good money that assad is busy relocating his major assets close to schools, orphanages, and hospitals. If nothing else, King Putt will provide a windfall of tiny disassembled bodies that assad can parade in front of cameras to say, "Look at what the eeeeevilll Americans did."

It's a sad statement on what America has become when the use of our Armed Forces has descended to the level of trying to prop up the image of a spineless congenital boob. That Soviet Russian deputy minister had it right: "...[obama's] Middle East foreign policy is like a monkey playing with a hand grenade."
Whom should we support? The al-Qaida/MuslimBrotherhood FSA "rebels"? Or the Iranian/Hizballah/Russian-backed assad regime? ....or - to put it in slang terms - should we back the Bloods or the Crips in that gang-war? Neither.

The kid is just a tool - the REAL guilty parties are the race-baiters, racist (c)rappers, the leftist media, and King Putt in the White House who all turned the Zimmerman trial into a race war.
