I agree completely. Much better to have had it happen on the LAST day because I was miserable for the next week to ten days and at least I got to be miserable back at home and at work; my vacation was unspoiled. Unbelievably, the scars have not completely gone away yet but they are fading. Hope you never have the experience ... Carol

Ahhhh .... two weeks at the beach (Myrtle, to be exact) marked by swimming, sunning, eating, sleeping, reading and punctuated, on the last day, by a bathing suit full of sea lice that resulted in an itching, oozing, red, scabby mess almost worse than the worst attack of poison ivy I've ever had. ...

Book signing tomorrow night ...
... at the Italian American Museum in Little Italy in Manhattan. I baked FIVE AND A HALF DOZEN PASTICIOTTI to take. This was my husband's idea. A good one, but time consuming!
Cousin Laura is going to get sent to bed with no supper if she keeps poo-poohing things without tasting them. Did she run out and buy a persimmon and try it with some lime before she wrote this? I'll bet she didn’t.

Lime .... I've been eating persimmons since I was about four years old and lo and behold, my husband just squeezed a bit of fresh lime juice on one. I love it!
