Love the neutral colors with pops of bright!
Hey, Vanessa! Firstly, I was unaware that Get Messy was a semi-closed group. It says on the original Get Messy page: "Feel free to create art journal pages under the Get Messy name and hashtag to make use of the community.” Secondly, I was also unaware that using the original blurb was something only members of this semi-closed group were allowed to use. My goal in using the blurb was not to initiate myself in this semi-closed group, but to inform others of what I thought was a really cool group of ladies wanting to spread the beauty of the art journal to everyone. The only reason I modified it was to make it more clear to new eyes. I didn't know trying to better communicate the message of #getmessy was making it 'fake'. It was not meant to make it my own and disrespect your semi-closed group. Thirdly, I did not mean to be early with the prompt. I do not understand how blogging about a prompt that’s already been blogged about is sharing early? I assumed the prompt link up at the end of the month was just to have what everybody did with the prompt all in one place…not to TA DA! or reveal anything. My mistake. Lastly, and probably most importantly — I am disheartened by the misreading of my intentions for participating in Get Messy. Like you said, the point is to hone our artistic skills, try new things, and inspire each other. In my few weeks participating, that has been my only motivation for participating. I work for me & my BIG ideas and I have a lot of product from them to use, so that’s why I’ve been using it. Because I used it, I was able to post it on their blog too. I didn’t mean to ‘plug’ or promote anything, just list what I used because the paper was cute or inspiring or fun to me and I wanted to share. I started making art journals again and what I started using in them was mambi stuff. That's the beginning and end of it. The only thing that made it offensive was the fact that I put #getmessy at the beginning of artjournal? I don’t want to make anyone uncomfortable, or step on any toes or be 'unfair to anyone on the wait list', so I’d rather no longer use the hashtag. If you’d like me to delete any IGs or posts or work you were uncomfortable with, I’d be happy to. Just let me know. I was excited at the thought of virtually fist-pumping with you girls in weeks to come about everything 'art journal’, but this comment truly disheartened me to it. I’m still wildly thankful to the Get Messy semi-closed group for inspiring me to get back into art journalling again. Thanks again, and good luck!

Hmm...good question. Print out at CVS? I know Persnickey Prints prints photos, although I've never used them myself.
2 awesome true stories! Thanks for sharing, Robyn!
Hey, Lisa -- I ended up switching to the smaller format for a few reasons: 1) because I print from home, and the smaller photos will make for less photo paper, and therefore less trips to Staples for supplies 2) I think if I treat it like a mini book, I'll be more apt to get it done & 3) all the Project Life albums I've been drawn to lately have been 6x8s...I've been pinning them on Pinterest, if you want to take a look
