Good morning! I woke up to a very grey, dreary day, and it looks like there’s rain & thundershowers on the horizon for the day! That doesn’t really fare well for my plans... Mya got a new (to her) bike yesterday of off the FB Marketplace (far easier to use... Continue reading

In a very, VERY, long time that I actually did not work. I didn’t fret over upcoming work, I didn’t pull fabrics or take photos for ‘work’, I didn’t reply to business PM’s - save for 2 which were just “thank-you” messages, so a quick 30 second reply and out... Continue reading

Tonight I was looking back at some of my older & cherished sewing projects and I started thinking about how much I miss doing my own thing... now that my customs are back open, (because bills & a kid on the way to University) my creativity has to be set... Continue reading

This summer is surely going to go down as one of the hottest summers in on record for Ontario. It has been scorching hot here since summer hit, with very little relief at all! Most days with the humidity the mercury hits near 40c! Our central air has been running... Continue reading

I mentioned before that I was having a friend over for a few days, she was here, and we really enjoyed our time together! We did some shopping, lots of chatting, we hit the SunFest, saw Jurrasic World 2, etc... the time went by *far too quickly*, but it was... Continue reading

My baby is home! I’m *quite* impressed with the amazing service at NOVA Sewing from the Wortley Village location here in London! I brought in my machine on Saturday, and received a phone call first thing this morning telling me that my machine was ready for pick up already! A... Continue reading

Yes, i’ll have to do that. For now i’m “good to go” again thankfully!
Yes. I know... it’s just such a huge expense and it’s a slow time for me. I just picked up my JUKI today so i’m going to give it a whirl and hope it’s back to ‘new’ again and able to sew through my thicker items without issues!! :) I’ll probably look at an industrial again next year if I think I still need one...
I’m going to see how my JUKI holds out and go from there. If I think I need one i’ll look into it more seriously next year I think! :)
Yes, they are pricey! My JUKI was expensive enough... they retail for about $1600.00 here. Ouch!
Yes... exactly, so more costs on top of just owning a machine! My JUKI is back already and i’m hoping it’s good to go again!!
Yep, won’t be any time soon i’ve decided!
My machine was 100% without a doubt properly threaded... i’ve been sewing on my JUKI for almost 2 years now. I do know how to use it properly... :)
Yes, it means he will get to live to see another day... hahaha!!
I would think so... when the time comes i’ll definitely look into gently used!
Unfortunately no... an industrial machine isn’t meant for “light layers”, so i’d need both for different purposes.

Over the last few months i’ve been having issues with my JUKI. The main issue is that it’s skipping stitches. LOTS of them, which in turn, messes up my sewn items, leads to lots of seam ripping, too much time wasted, plenty of frustration and pretty much drives me insane.... Continue reading

Our cat came back with a clean bill of health thankfully! 16 and still no health issues is something to be grateful for I know! I agree that there comes a point when putting them down is the right thing to do, although definitely not the easiest for our hearts.

Good Morning! I keep thinking it’s Saturday for some reason, so hopefully writing a “Five Things Friday” post will help keep things straight for me! LoL! It’s a long weekend here, Canada Day! And we don’t really have any plans yet. It’s going to be a scorcher though! It’s Ed’s... Continue reading

My blog post titles are not exactly as catchy as some of them out there, but so be it. LOL!! Yesterday we went to see Jurrasic World 2, we all loved it!! Was very suspenseful and quite terrifying for me! The kids absolutely loved it too, even Mya! She didn’t... Continue reading

I’m doing loads of cutting too.. spent a couple hours this morning ironing & cutting fabrics & interfacing for 4 Slimline Wallets! A nice chunk of work done so far though thankfully! I want to make more gifts... i’ll need to make that a goal I think, I love creating one of a kind items for gifts! It’s just squeezing them in that is the hard part..

*This sweet avocado paper piecing pattern was created by @QuiltyPie on Instagram. I’m not exactly sure what i’ll be turning it into yet, but for now i’ll just enjoy it’s cuteness factor! Good Morning! Thanks SO MUCH for all your wonderful comments on my post... obviously i’ve been feeling that... Continue reading
