Meredith, your comment is giving me the chills. I would love to write books. Love to. Thank you for your comment and your encouragement.
This is so sweet of you to say, my fried. So very sweet. xo

Today’s mixer is BYOB! That would be, “Bring your own bacon.” Today’s guest of honor, Jennifer Barbour, is a bacon lover, pie hater, mom to two boys and three dogs, and all around do-gooder. If you haven’t checked out Jennifer’s blog at anotherjennifer.com, it’s definitely worth the read. Jennifer writes... Continue reading

Words can hurt as well as heal like you say. Sometimes, it's easier said that done, but I think intention goes a long way. Trying to be careful counts for a lot!
Mo I could not agree with you more in every way. And yes, we can forgive, but we don't forget. Better to use every word as a bridge versus a barrier.
I was so happy to dedicate this post to you! Because your message is all about *this* and like you said, we can give back in all ways, including paying attention. That's where giving back really starts, right? Just by being aware.
I LOVE how you say we can bless others with our words! Can I wear a string on my finger to remind myself that my words can do that and should do that every time I open my mouth? And about what parents refer to as their children? Yes, Kim, yes. I 100% agree.
I agree in the pay it forward! It's hard not to pay it forward when someone sets the tone for such kindness! I hope our paths cross again!
We could all be more mindful! There is always room!
I love that your loving words sparked more loving words! But words very much work like this! They have a domino effect for the good!
And SO ARE YOU! Amazing, that is! Yes, I can't wait to host Jennifer this week. She's awesome. Just awesome!
Yes! Yes! I truly believe we are all here to lift each other up! And we have such a wonderful opportunity to do that with words. I'm a Jersey Shore girl - born and raised! Still here!
I think the more aware we become of the world around us, the more carefully we choose the words. It all originates from the same mindfulness, right? And yes, I'm so happy I was aware enough to be in the presence of such a wonderful coincidence.
I love your words! And yes, such an amazing story! I was so happy to meet her on the phone and to know we shared this home!
Thanks, Bev. Words really can set the tone for the day or for impacting a mood. In a perfect world, we would all lift each other up. That's what we're here for, I believe!
I am the same way, AM. The exact same way. I need to be more mindful with the words I use with the people I love the most.
Thank you Kerry, and I agree, especially in this day and age, when anyone can be a publisher of content, it's more important than ever to watch our words. I am glad you have seen Jennifer's site. She's just marvelous!
So cool - what are the chances?
Such a small word, and yes, I know! I can't wait for Jennifer!
The gift of words was mutual. Her note to me made my day. And the coincidence? It just blew me away.
You are so right, Tamara! Words can warm my heart or break them. They are so powerful!
Your words are always beautiful, Tricia!
Every word carries its own weight and energy. In a perfect world, we'd be mindful of everything that comes out of our mouths - albeit a tall order!
I was shocked too - this instant connection the two of us had. Her running up and down the same stairs and in the same backyard as a child as my children do now. It was a wonderful moment!
No blog is a little blog. People remember what you write. I remember what you write! And love it by the way! I think you're doing a great job using your words for good.
