Oh. My. Goodness. If you have ever tasted one of the Graze company's Flapjacks, you know why I am reacting the way I am. They are indescribable. I am not a huge fan of store-purchased granola bars so when my subscription of the delightful Graze snacks graced my desk, I... Continue reading

Hi Anastasia, Half and half is one part milk, one part cream. I would imagine for the 4 tablespoons, you could use 2 tablespoons cream and 2 tablespoons milk. I am thrilled that you will be making it and posting photos! Hurray! Can't wait to hear how you like it!
Hi Maree, I hope you love the cookies! Have a great camping trip!
Anastasia, I really hope you get to make the Espresso cake. Honestly, no one in my family really likes cake, yet they all adore this cake! I can't tell you how many times I have made this and it is devoured within a day.
Remember a few months ago when I promised you a recipe for a mouth-watering addicting Espresso Cake that I couldn't stop making? The cake that my non-cake-loving family devoured and begged for repeatedly? The cake that my parents claimed as a new favorite when we shared a few slices? Well,... Continue reading

Just a few fun finds that I came across lately and thought I'd share... Marrying at 100 - such a sweet concept that it's never too late to fall in love and you are never too old for anything. "It's not what you's what you make out of marriage."... Continue reading

When I think of Hawaiian food, Sam Choy is the first thing that comes to mind. Along with the most perfectly sweetened pineapples, Sam Choy's food epitomizes the Hawaiian islands to me. As I type this, we are just departing the Big Island of Hawaii and I am already missing... Continue reading

Although perfect for fall and Thanksgiving leftovers, these delicious pockets can be served year-round in my humble opinion. You can simplify this... Continue reading

Years ago I had a fascination for Crescent Rolls but knew, even then, that the contents of what came in the refrigerated tube could be improved upon with a homemade version. One Christmas, my grandparents gave me a bread machine as I was becoming a budding baker. When I found... Continue reading

Need a quick and easy after school snack or cookie on the fly? Enter Quick and Easy Toffee Crisps. Years ago I found a cookbook that spoke to my messy cooking style that was a fly-by-the-seat of your pants kind of cookbook. I think it had both sloppy and messy... Continue reading

In the fourth grade, Bella prepared this recipe for her classmates for a presentation requiring the execution of "making something with steps". At the time, she was a master at whipping up these concoctions in the blender at a moment's notice. We started with a recipe from a Top Secret... Continue reading

Bob C. - 1. You are correct, you do not need to flip the salmon over during the grilling. 2. Correct again, the specks are chopped garlic. I hope you try and enjoy the recipe. It's the best and I am craving now as I type this message. Enjoy!
To say that the last few months have been busy is a huge understatement. My work commitments in the world of grant writing grew exponentially, leaving very little extra time for posting blog updates here, something I love. Despite feeling like we're running a race with no end in sight,... Continue reading
