Each collage has "something" my eyes go to (circles, color, pattern) but I like the third one down with the music sheets and black polka dots best.

Awhile back I started seeing collaged tags created on 6.25” x 3” cardstock Inventory Tags. I liked the idea of a “preprinted background”. I decided I wanted to make tags using these Inventory Tags too. I started searching where to buy some and found them kind of expensive in lots... Continue reading

I recently ran across an interesting blog called “They Draw & Cook” that features recipes illustrated by artists from around the world. When you search the site for certain foods, up comes dozens upon dozens of interesting interpretations of artsy recipes. How fun! I can envision “drawing” favorite recipes in... Continue reading

I love searching for future tag project ideas. I have pinned several on my Pinterest Board "Art: Cards/Tags/Bags/Wraps". These two pieces of little art immediately caught my eye and I quickly added them to my Board. I like the use of lace at the bottom and the clever buttoned hearts... Continue reading

Did you play any pranks today? I usually forget to play a prank until my husband "gets me" with one! I'll be on the alert today ... and maybe even "get him" first. In keeping with my monthly Calendar Collages here's the one I just finished for March: Happy crafting!... Continue reading

Every Easter my Dutch mom would bring out her pink Cherry Blossom Franciscan dinnerware and set a beautiful table. The centerpiece would be Easter baskets filled with jelly beans, chocolate bunnies, decorated eggs, and yellow peeps surrounded by ceramic rabbits and bunnies from her collection. She loved hearing the "oohs"... Continue reading

If you're like me, and enjoy using centerpieces geared to each holiday, you like finding ideas that are (1) a bit different, (2) easy to do, (3) inexpensive, and are (4) attention getting. Here's an idea I found that answers all four: Photo from Easter.HolidaysCentral Isn't this just the "sweetest"... Continue reading

With Easter fast approaching I've been thinking of additional "sides" to go with our ham dinner ... to augment our family favorite potato casserole, veggies, and salad. Julie Nutting, the author of Collage Couture, has introduced a series of six “doll” stamps – four women and two little girls. They are nice and big at 7 ½” (except for one woman stamp that is 6” tall). I eventually plan to buy the other two stamps in this... Continue reading

I’ve spent a considerable amount of time “thinking” about starting a Smash Book – they looked like fun. But, before starting one, I spent more time searching online for photos of “smash books”. I soon discovered how broad the term “smash book” is. These types of books are called by... Continue reading
