Interests: Patricia M. Martin is a U.S. Fulbright Scholar, 2014-2015, Cyprus, to implement the "ONE WOMAN AT A TIME" (OWAAT) legal research project in collaboration with the Supreme Court of Cyprus, University of Nicosia, School of Humanities, Social Sciences and Law, community social services and ombudsman nonprofits. OWAAT is aimed at empowering abused woman to place the law in their hands and obtain their fundamental human rights of access to court, and effective remedy and privacy. Ms. Martin is President and Shareholder of Patricia M. Martin, Attorney At Law, P.C., and former Judicial Law Clerk, New Mexico Supreme Court. She is the author of "ACCESSING THE RIGHT TO NO CONTACT: The Argument for Uniformity in U.S. And EU Courts to Expedite Self-Help Civil Protections for Abused Women", University of Cyprus Gender Equality Law Journal, May 2015, "The Rule 54(b) Balance With Knapp: Why Complexity In “Our Rules” And Colorado’s Code Of Judicial Conduct Require Our Courts To Be A Surrogate For Pro Se Litigants", University of Denver Law Review, July 2011, and "Native Circle", The Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA), a $2 million U.S. Department of Education Title III Grant for remedial programs. Ms. Martin's philanthropic endeavors yielded over $10 million for At-Risk Youth After-School Programs and Native American Higher Education. Prior to law practice, Ms. Martin was Senior Vice President for BGK Realty, Inc., where she managed this international limited liability company multi-million dollar commercial real estate investment portfolio. Ms. Martin is admitted to practice law in Colorado, New Mexico, the District of Columbia, the U.S. District Courts in Colorado and New Mexico, The Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.
