Interests: Welcome to my blog, I'm Shirley, a 40 something mum to two beautiful teenage daughters, wife to Pete and doggy Mum to Jess a crossbreed and Eva a little partially sighted Cocker Spaniel. I work from home during the week and for a local supermarket at the weekend, and when I have some spare time I love to Scrapbooking, crochet and try my hand at any other craft that looks messy and fun. I hope you will make your self at home and enjoy a peek at my world.

I was ultra efficient last week and got my entry finished on Sunday evening. I find it so enjoyable to do this and probably faff around a bit more than I should but I dare say there will be weeks where I take no time at all. I have a... Continue reading

I can't believe we have got round to another Wednesday, I haven't stopped this week so far. I am still up to date on my project life but will add that another time. Most of my time at the moment is spent trying to organise events, insurance and everything else... Continue reading

I actually took these pictures last night but it looks the same this morning so I think it counts. I am sorry about the quality of the pictures not the best light. I made the two new baby cards last night for a work colleague of Pete's who has just... Continue reading

I managed another two page layout for this weeks project life. I still really love this system, I think it is making me far more aware of how much we manage to do. It makes me a bit sad in a way when I think about how much I have... Continue reading

That's how we spent the weekend. We had hoped to get to the seaside, I love to go to the seaside in the wintertime and was really looking forward to seeing Eva's reaction to seeing the sea for the first ever time. With the weather how it is we decided... Continue reading

Oh my days, it is really really cold out there, for us here in suffolk that is. I know that for the likes of people like my cousin who lives in Alaska it would probably be classed as a spring day but for us it cold. I do love it... Continue reading

I used to take part in WOYWW a couple of years ago but was a terrible blogger back then, even worse than I am now and it kind of all slipped. I have always visited peoples work desks as I am a village girl so I tend to be nosy... Continue reading

First things first, we have snow, not much and to be fair most of it has already melted but we had enough for me to get some pictures and that is the main thing. Driving the girls home from school yesterday was a bit of a frightening experience, I really... Continue reading

I started my project life album this week and I am seriously in love. I love the speed, the ease and I think most of all I love all the bits that I have collected together to make it with. I decided not to go for the costly kit but... Continue reading

I hope you had a lovely Christmas? It's forwards into the most drab part of the year I always feel now but it won't be long until the nights start to pull out and we can do a little more outside each day. We had a lovely quiet Christmas, I... Continue reading

I have been keeping up with my journal pages but the craziness hasn't eased round here and I just don't seem to get time to blog. We have had two visits to the vets this week, once because Eva seemed poorly and then again because Bobby one of our rabbits... Continue reading

It really is frightful out there today. I suppose it is quite appropriate seeing the 13th prompt was about the Christmas weather. Yesterday - which was the day of the prompt - was a beautiful, bright, frosty day. It was proper Christmas weather but today, well it's fit for nothing... Continue reading

Do you ever get one of those days when everything that can go wrong does? Tuesday was like that for me, I got my JYC entry all finished and was having a quick tidy up when I realised the telly was on mute, Wot No Music, can't have that, only... Continue reading

I was getting on so well with doing an entry for Journal your Christmas each day and blogging it the next day but it all went to pot over the weekend. I am back on track, I got the three entries that I needed to do all sorted this morning... Continue reading

The prompt for the 6th entry was to think about what you need for a perfect christmas, write it all down, then slim the list down to what you really need for the perfect Christmas. I went for the simply perfect angle because everything I need to make Christmas perfect... Continue reading

Today's Prompt was about the Christmas cards you will send and who you will send them to. I was in the post office so brought some of this years Christmas stamps to add to my entry. Talk about wasteful but I think it is worth it. It is another simple... Continue reading

Another quick entry for today as time seemed to run at double time yesterday. The prompt was about hosting gatherings so I decided to do my entry about Boxing day when there are just us four here to celebrate. My entry is about how we like to chill on boxing... Continue reading

This post is a bit late but I was away so better late than never.. for my four Great Uncles in the first world war and a cousin in the second. I studied Siegfried Sasson at school and found him deadly boring, I'm surprised that having to suffer the teachers... Continue reading
