@Just Curious: Rothwachs, son-in-law to Rabbi Yudin, is one of the signatories to this screed. Price runs the Institute for Traditional Judaism, the Teaneck-based rabbinical school of the Union for Traditional Judaism, the traditionalist breakaway faction from JTS. My comments from before were meant to demonstrate the significant and contrived sociological changes undergone by many young men who, though once Americanized orthos, are now yeshivishe rabbis. In addition, I aimed to show that at their core, many of these guys with whom I went to school were triple-A jerks in their yeshiva days and their behavior has really not changed. As evidenced by this letter they now bully from the pulpit (pardon the pun).

@ah-pee-chorus: Between the cost of yeshiva tuition, shul membership, Kosher food, & Judaica objects for holidays and rituals, Judaism has become a rich man's religion.

I remember when Larry Rothwachs wore a postage-stamp Kippa and bullied little kids at the Hebrew Youth Academy in West Caldwell. He later donned a black fedora and married Benjamin Yudin's daughter - and what do you know? Suddenly he's rabbi of Beth Aaron and a bigwig at the RCBC. This pimple of a human being even had the nerve to publicly insult Rabbi Ronald Price, dean of the Metivta of the UTJ, at a community conference in Teaneck. Ah the wonders of nepotism.

@Yochanan A Magid Shiur of mine once said many years ago, "Rabosai, the yeshiva world is now trying to convince us that Rav Shach is Rav Moshe. Let me tell you - in Ge'onus and in Tzidkus - he never was nor will he ever be Rav Moshe".
