In light of this International Astrology Day, its now a time for me to re- orientate my fundamental interpretation of the sky and its effects in our lives. I'm talking about seriously using sidereal astrology instead of more traditional Tropical Placidus system for interpretation. I just feel that observing the actual physical constellations as defined by the International Astronomical Union back in 1930 is a new direction of study for me, this is also the system used by Indian astrologers with the Vedic system. That 24 degree difference is fascinating to consider...

The thing with "science" is that its an evolving subject in itself, nothing is static although at first it appears to be. In our current understanding of measuring physical matter and reproducing research results either in the lab or out in the field, this whole approach is progressive or should be. Its like lateral thinking, the way you approach something. I know I'm talking in general terms here.. but that's part of the nature of Neptune's relationship with science. Nothing is hard and fast and then that's the end of it. So, the current transit of Neptune shows us its time for the theory of relativity and quantum mechanics to take the next leap forward...

Once again, thank you Robert. The leader of Christianity, Jesus Christ, is I believe representative of the highest manifestation of Pisces power and influence. The symbol of the twin fish is associated with Christianity. I'll bet if we could establish the correct birth time, (probably very difficult to do, considering the history) Jesus Christ had a plethora of planets in Pisces or at least some major powerful points or something of that magnitude.

Thanks Robert, your explanation of Saturn/Pluto cycles on current generations cuts to the core! Yes, I recall in great detail when Saturn was passing over my Virgo triple conjunction and all the other aspects that natal conjunction is linked to back in 08-09'. I learned about myself like I've never learned about myself before. It was particularly profound, as Saturn is the final depositor of my chart anyway.. A sheer fusion of being was structured for the rest of this earthly existence.

As usual, well written Robert! "Divine discrimination" an excellent concept made practical in this life, something we all have to learn. I think this is demonstrated exceptionally well along the Virgo-Pisces axis. Letting go of old forms is like a watery Neptune dissolving, to me at least anyway. Its only when the highest development of Mercury is combined with Neptune, that it becomes the stuff that Heaven is made from! But what motivates each individual to do this? The Sun, Mars, Pluto, or all three combined? I think it depends on how "aware" one is, or wants to be...

... and the mighty sun dances around the galactic centre, which for all we know, probably dances around an even bigger centre.. somewhere..lol.. so every entity rotates around another entity, probably.

I don't know what to think of this, my Anti-Vertex is right on this SRX degree of Saturn. I've researched some info on the Vertex axis, but are still pondering on the effect it could have. Considering it's in an intercepted house (tropical placidus)adds to my curiosity..

No matter what goes on in the sky, we all have "free will" or whatever everyone's concept of that is and of course that is dependent to a large degree by ones environmental circumstances and time in history. I exercise mine but are aware of the energies in the cosmic atmosphere on any given day, time or geographic location. Maybe its just me, but that's how I've come to understand astrology in general. The thing that really concerns me at the moment, is the quality of information we receive about turmoil in other parts of the world, one can only be discriminatory to a certain degree within the bounds of his or hers intellect. On a mundane level, this situation in Ukraine which as I type this is reported to be rapidly changing unlike other crisis we have faced in recent times, this is on top of all the other conflict zones around the globe like Syria, the rest of the Arab world, Korean peninsula etc... you get my drift.. Personally, I can't wait until all these old world attitudes and levels of tolerances are once and for all finalised! whatever that outcome maybe...

I use to have issues with lasting changes in my life, probably because of my fixed grand cross, however with age comes experience, which gives birth to wisdom, so now I accept change and adjust accordingly. It took nearly half a century of existence for me to get a "handle" on this. The change is with regards to attitude and perspective, both fueled by the spirits push for growth, weather that be conscious or unconscious. It happens.

Well said Robert, thank you for this excellent illumination in truth of being. One of the best tools to "ignite" the illumination I found is to look at how Mercury is operating in your sphere of existence, I mean it didn't get to be known as the "Guide of Souls" for nothing. :)

That last paragraph is powerful! Not a day goes by lately without some calamity rearing its ugly head on the global news scene. So much energy going on, its hard to know what to expect next! However, I feel most of us have learned to roll with the punches in recent years and have probably been "toughened" up by now..lol..

The movement of humanity from Piscean to Aquarian age, I believe can be symbolized beautifully by the achievement of Success with the International Space Station. With its first component launch in 1998, interestingly when Neptune began transiting Aquarius and Uranus well entrenched in this sun sign. That event to me, shows the wonderment of humankind progress and its awakening of our very long term future co-operating together on a global scale. I wonder how much of the solar system or local galaxy we would have explored (and settled) by the time Neptune returns to the sign of Aquarius in 2161?

Thank you for the brilliant insight into this 28 degrees conjunction in Aquarius and the sabian symbol information, having Saturn Retrograde on this point & sole dispositor of my natal chart in the 3rd house. This is so true and yet so real everyday for me now... Very perceptive, thanks Robert!

I wonder if this current retrograde mercury period is influenced by the increased solar flare activity since early February as reported by NASA's SDO satellite, apparently the Sun has had a wave of titanic magnetism on its surface.

A few days ago, down here in Tasmania, A claimed rare species of giant jelly fish was found washed up on one of the beaches. Scientists were blowm away by the sheer size of it! http://www.abc.net.au/news/2014-02-06/giant-jellyfish-found-by-schoolboy-on-tasmanian-beach/5241570 Could freakish organisms like this be linked to radiation in the marine food chain? what else is in the depths of the oceans still not known? Makes me think of Jules Verne's 20,000 leagues under the sea and the monster squid!

The whole Beatles magic can be seen and sensed by the impact of the Pluto/Uranus conjunction sextile Neptune taking place in those times. The entertainment industry for popular culture was changed forever and its long term cultural aspects for many decades if not longer after this mid 60s pop music phenomenon. Personally, I really love the material they did as more of a studio band from about 1966 onwards, very cutting edge at the time. Easy to do with the $ they were pulling in! George Martin, the producer was a master on the old 4 track recording technology they had back in those days. I remember reading a Rolling Stones magazine interview that was republished years later with John Lennon after the group broke up, he was the first person to enlighten me on the possibilities of self transformation!

My first introduction to Charles Dickens was when my mother took me to see the musical - "Oliver!" when I was knee high to a grasshopper, think I must have been around 5 or 6! but still stands out in my memory of cold grey repressive 19th century England and that story!

The interesting thing with this Mercury retrograde period is the near conjunction with Neptune in its home sign. What collective message is this telling all of humanity? Only time will tell no doubt! On a mundane level, I observe Sochi Olympics of 2014 opening on the day of Mercury retrograding, lets see how this event pans out...

"The Inferior Conjunction happens February 15-16 at 28 Aquarius, on the exact degree Jupiter went stationary retrograde in 2009, less than a day after the Full Moon at 27 Leo. That indicates the coming “fusion of life and mind” will show us how to prepare for what’s coming, as well as give us a new insights about what freed us or opened us between June 2009 and January 2010 that’s related to our current situation." This part here Robert, hit me like a ton of bricks! and reminds me again, of how stunningly accurate Astrology can be when its examined in a full context. It was around this time (June/July 2009) when the Jupiter/Neptune conjunction in Aquarius coming up to conjunct my natal retrograde Saturn (which is the ruler of my chart and forms powerful aspects to personal planets) that I made a decision which over the last few years has turned out like a double edged sword of fate combined with deep solid yet difficult personal growth. But still to this day, the ramifications of the life changing decision back then has turned into a massive log jam in my life to this day. Something is going to trigger around mid February when the retrograde Mercury (ruler of my NN, MC & conjunct my Sun) goes back over that area.... I live in positive faith with God!

The song "Itchycoo Park" reminds me of the "feel" coming from the Uranus/Neptune sextile in operation around the mid 60s and exhibited so brilliantly by the Small Faces. Such a lovely song, unforgettable.. to me at least anyway.. :) Phil Collins and Genesis will always have there niche in the halls of Pop music.. so expressive! Always loved the album - "And Then There Were Three" so many great moments in that style of music, even listening to it today, its timeless in its beauty.

Thanks for these insights Robert, Venus going direct @ 14 Capricorn in my 1st house trines my natal Virgo stellium in the 9th house and they in turn conjunct my MC. I've had concrete visions about the future of my career and its prospects, especially in a practical sense because of my age and geographic location etc.. "This also has a background effect for those areas ruled by planets we have in Taurus and Libra." OK, but the thing that's got me though, is what if someone has Taurus intercepted (5th house) and thus not on an actual house cusp? however Libra is on its own house cusp, albeit ruler of the opposite intercepted house? complicating it further is these points and planets are part of a Yod.. I'm sure this situation could apply to others out there too..

New moons come and go, I don't' get too fazed by them, In the multiple layers of complexity within any given chart; natal, current transits, or progressed, I try hard not to loose perspective. In my humble opinion, we are ALL of our charts at any given moment. Chiron has done its dance around my natal chart and now for the return, more, yes more! interesting days ahead... even more so with its opposition to my Virgo Stellium, my great wound never heals...but thats ok! :)

Hi Robert, Thanks for explaining this idea so well! I'm constantly amazed at the layers of complexity that can build up when interpreting a chart, either natal or current transits and then we have the progressed chart to consider as well. When I start to consider things like Yods and fixed stars as well, I get a bit overloaded and have to sleep on it for a while! :) I know there are software packages that can aid us in understanding this from a wholeness perspective, I have much research to do.

Hi Robert, Thanks for the comprehensive response, much appreciated indeed. I'll pickup more in your second article on this no doubt, but to throw a cat amongst the pigeons (so to speak), if my natal Mercury conjunct Sun (Libra) which in turn trines Saturn and that trines NN in Gemini, one could say a grand air trine, albeit from a spiritual perspective because of the NN. Complicating this is Uranus/Pluto/Venus/MC conjunction... I'm really into evolutionary astrology big time! Its the only way that I can get satisfactory answers as to the "why" of human behavior and motivations... but to me it has to be an observable phenomenon even amongst non-believers...

Hi Robert, Thanks for clearing that up. However, I was meditating on this concept and wondered about the case of Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Virgo and Libra. Do they have higher octave (spiritual) rulers like the rest of the signs? As I mentioned above about Saturn in Aquarius (which I have in my natal chart), and if I (or anyone else) has Capricorn Asc. and no other planets in there own sign of rulership, It would be safe to say, Saturn is the final dispositor of my natal chart? Apart from that, Venus in Virgo and Mercury in Libra make a mutual reception even though they don't actually aspect each other (42 degrees separation) Hope this helps others in interpreting natal charts! Thanks & much appreciated.
