Many presently Chassidic families want to join an ex-Chassid in fighting Chassidic schools to improve secular education in Chassidic schools? Does anyone believe that? If they want to improve secular education, cant they just send their children to different schools with better secular education, or join with like minded Chassidim and start an organization with this cause? Are they going to join a Chazer eating Footsteps member? C'mon! How gullible do the OTD folks think we are?

no name: " most physicians will instead try to “make sense of the situation and decide what to do without relying on God.”" For crying out loud, they went to medical school for that, but many doctirs remain believers, despite having gone through many years of education in non religious schools with irreligious educators. it would seem...thats def as reliable as studies.... if..... hy·poth·e·sis hīˈpäTHəsis/Submit noun a supposition or proposed explanation made on the basis of limited evidence as a starting point for further investigation.

Hello, folks. Reading comprehension issues here? I never said the greater percentage of MDs are Orthodox or practicing. But the greater percentage of MDs ARE believers, not Atheists, whether practicing or not, or to what degree. Please provide stats of the opposite, if you feel this is wrong. (Off the topic but interesting, I know personally an unbelievable amount of ORTHODOX oncologists at Memorial Sloan).

OBJECTIVE To provide a baseline description of physicians' religious characteristics, and to compare physicians' characteristics with those of the general U.S. population. DESIGN/PARTICIPANTS Mailed survey of a stratified random sample of 2,000 practicing U.S. physicians. Comparable U.S. population data are derived from the 1998 General Social Survey. MEASUREMENTS/RESULTS The response rate was 63%. Fifty-five percent of physicians say their religious beliefs influence their practice of medicine. Compared with the general population, physicians are more likely to be affiliated with religions that are underrepresented in the United States, less likely to say they try to carry their religious beliefs over into all other dealings in life (58% vs 73%), twice as likely to consider themselves spiritual but not religious (20% vs 9%), and twice as likely to cope with major problems in life without relying on God (61% vs 29%). CONCLUSIONS Physicians' religious characteristics are diverse and they differ in many ways from those of the general population. Researchers, medical educators, and policy makers should further examine the ways in which physicians' religious commitments shape their clinical engagements. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1490160/

Scientists need brains, remember? Where do brains come from? Why haven't Arabs invented anything similar? Perhaps we ought to focus on why so few medical doctors are atheists. They see life and death, like no one else, and with their superior brainpower and abilities, unlike many "if I cant see it and understand it fully, it probably doesn't exist" ninkenpoops, most medical doctors feel theres a higher being than themselves.

Has anyone else heard that Eli Kleinman"s wife caught him with his Puerto Rican girlfriend - who is pregnant with Eli"s baby (she is 20 years old ), and subsequently was thrown out of the big mansion on bedford and ave m ? He's now living with his mother. The gf tried to blackmail Eli and Eli called her bluff and she blew the whistle (pun intended ). Posted by: Primetrades | January 30, 2014 at 12:17 PM Like father like son. His son - a so called rebbe was caught having an affair with a married woman working at manhattan beach yeshiva. His wife would not take a divorce so he left and moved in with this woman while both of them were married to other people, Major scandal in Flatbush and the Catskills. But he has no problem marching down Forest Avenue in Lakewood dancing with his new sefer torah inside the Kleinman Campus of BMG. Strange that the NY POST and NY Daily News havent picked up on this! This is their cup of tea! Look what theyre doing to Curtis Sliwa and Melinda Katz....hee hee... Where are they on this story?

I work with a bigtime non Jewish real estate tycoon. He says anyone who thinks the loans Stark made, IN TOTAL, would have the slightest effect on ANY bank's success or failure, is in the kindergarten level of real estate and finance. The figures involved are a wee small drop in a huge bucket. He says this article is totally off.

"Surging anti-semites thanks to these clowns" Sure. Im no fan of Rubin, but when was the last time you took a trip to see the jail population these days? If crimes and lies cause Anti--------ism, there would be hundreds of types of Anti-----ites around, more than most of you can count. Jews are by far not the majority of clowns and criminals, folks.

Pard, "Painful to hear, but contemporary Hassidic culture endorses widespread criminality in matters of money. Period". If that is all acurate and fair, are they the only ones? Unfortunately propensity towards all kinds of crime, even way more heinous, is hugely popular these days as evidenced by the multi-nationalism present in our jails, you DUFUS PARD. Check it out, man!

"Nearly every Jew that I speak with about this believes that the reason why Mein Kampf is surging in terms of sales..." You all realize that the resentment and hatred that many non-Jews have of Jews, involves both observant and non-observant Jews equally. They dont like the non-observant Jews any better. What are ya gonna do about that?

So benevolent of you on this hallowed website, who dont paint with one broad stroke all/most Australians, all/most Chinese, all/most Danish, all/most French, all/most Germans.... all/most Christians, all/most Protestants, all/most Hindus, all/most Moslems, all/most citizens of all nations, and all/most of those who practice all religions of the world, with their unique vices, in detail. So nice of you, how somehow those who are members of all other groups are spared your scrutiny. Power to you, you lovely "people"!

"However, what really stabs my heart is all the activism being put into place today to go after the NYPost, while none of that same effort will ever be considered by the community and politicians, to protect the children of the community from sexual predators. It's very telling when a community puts their children last" Have you not heard of Rabbi Yaakov Horowitz and many other Charedi individuals like him who are doing everything in their power to prevent molestation and lock up molesters? If you have any suggestions for anything else that can be done, why not call him? He listens. What do you expect to accomplish towards that end here?

None exist, you fear, Devorah? Im just as nauseaus and aware of the bad ones as you are! There are many, but they are NOT the majority by far. How hard are you looking for the good ones? You certainly wont get to know any good Charedim by spending time here. You wont believe me, and will give me proof that Im wrong, but there are way more good than bad. It serves people's here interest, and pleasures them, to believe the opposite though.

When will your total focus on Charedi criminals end? When will it get boring? Will you ever diversify and perhaps discuss good Charedim or bad non-Charedim? While the many good Charedim will leave behind many generations of beautiful families of law abiding citizens, the bulk of those interested in this blog will leave behind a world of rotten stinking body fluids and offensive language, among other unsavory items!
