Ireland had at best 50% of his picks not be write offs including 2011. Most were serviceable not great. Biggest problem he drafted some OK players that didn't fit the scheme or type of player we actually needed.

Lol sounds like a rough game to watch. And Daniel Thomas sweaks on because our depth at RB sucks?

Posted by: Mark in Toronto | August 28, 2014 at 01:34 PM Dead cap on trades? No dead money on cuts? I'm no cap expert but usually the guaranteed money is what leads to the dead money. The money is often deferred over the length of the contract, if another team picks up a player via trade wouldn't they pick up his cap amount? Cutting players with that money doesn't clear the cap hit to my knowledge.

I don't see how Tannehill doesn't do better, whether it's enough will be the question.

Posted by: billcale | August 28, 2014 at 11:01 AM True James is playing like a first round talent, I had my doubts. Hopefully he can take it into the season when defenses disguise the pressure more often.

Posted by: MassDolphan | August 28, 2014 at 10:49 AM It was a crazy pick considering what we had in Vernon. I remember talking up Vernon a lot when he was a sub and playing special teams his first year. As usual it was Ireland building a surplus where he didn't need it and creating a deficit elsewhere.

Posted by: billcale | August 28, 2014 at 10:14 AM The Saints game last year showed Coyle was completely over matched from a coaching perspective. Hopefully he gets better. Less 10 yard cushions.

Posted by: Mark in Toronto | August 28, 2014 at 09:59 AM Look at write ups of Ware coming out of college, he was described as a OLB/DE tweener. Also speed and size looked like a match.

Let the Taylor-Davis battle begin. Davis has the edge right now Taylor needs to play well to not be CB4.

Posted by: -I | August 27, 2014 at 07:33 PM Actually it makes account banning possible and session cookies would make it a challenge to run multiple accounts on the same device. It won't stop it but it will make it a pain in the ass to troll and change names constantly, which makes it worth it. I only use one handle on here because when I flame someone I want there to be no confusion it came from me. Also I'm not afraid to be wrong and don't care one iota about "winning" any debate.

Facebook/Twitter login is the way to go to prevent the trolling quantity. Too bad that it would scare off some of the better folks that share opinions on here.

Posted by: NeMo | August 27, 2014 at 10:02 AM That's an interesting take on the game we won as Brady had the opportunity to win it at the end in our red zone.

We could have tagged Long and let Starks test FA, that was my take. The tag was really high but we had the cap space. Would have kept our line intact and who knows what it would have meant if he stayed healthy all year.
