I love how Ray Rice apologized to everyone except his wife in his interview. No remorse really about what he did.

Steelers are in a bit of a back spin, the news about the RBs is bad news.

Posted by: Mark in Toronto | August 21, 2014 at 11:46 AM Funny all this talk made me remember that song those guys put on YouTube when we were after Manning. "Matt Mooooore we'll show you the doooor" to the tune of the Titanic theme song by Cher. Lol!

Posted by: MiamiD20 | August 21, 2014 at 11:24 AM Basically every off season we should be finding ways (within the cap of course) to improve every position on our team to players that perform at a high level with upside. That goes from starting QB down to long snapper. Devlin and Trusnick are not those guys, no upside and don't play at a high level. Flush them and on to the next guys.

Posted by: MiamiD20 | August 21, 2014 at 11:14 AM No upside backups should be replaced as much as possible. Devlin, Trusnick, etc. we need to be bringing in replacements for these guys whenever possible. Young, hungry replacements with the opportunity to grow.

Posted by: Mark in Toronto | August 21, 2014 at 11:05 AM It doesn't stop any of that, we are not against the cap. If we had wanted to join a bidding war on Beadles we could have. We don't have a viable alternative at backup QB, plus no way does Philbin tank the season for a number one pick.

Posted by: Opti/Pessi Mist | August 21, 2014 at 10:50 AM We should have been grooming Moore's replacement this year, his contract is up after all. That would have given that QB a year in the system before ever expecting him to produce in any way. Just my opinion.

Matt Moore is not going anywhere this season, we all know it. The point is moot.

Posted by: Mark in Toronto | August 21, 2014 at 10:21 AM It is spin, it's what I do for a living. I stand by my argument and I'm ready to move on if you are.

Mark that the worst spin on your statement I have ever seen. Do I look like I just fell off the turnip truck? Hey we are good, I understand the point you were trying to make, but no amount of spin corrects that statement which is false.

Posted by: Mark in Toronto | August 21, 2014 at 10:03 AM And there is the wiggle room to accept an exception. That's why I don't mind debating with you and a few others in here. We can accept another viewpoint or a fact check and move on.

Mark you are defending a broken argument you said "no exeception", that statement is wrong. Move on.

Mark you said no exception, not me. Our perfect season proves you wrong. You made a crazy statement, you don't make many of them but that was one. Plenty of exceptions, what about when the Texans 3rd string lead them to playoffs because of injuries.

Mark not true about losing your starter for games and the season being over, refer to Arron Rogers injury and his team still making the playoffs. It's not as cut and dry as you make it, lots of exceptions to your rule.

Posted by: MassDolphan | August 21, 2014 at 08:36 AM We had a lot of things to fix this offseason. The team figured they addressed RB with Moreno, had a home grown fix at MLB with Misi, and thought a UDFA QB is enough as a development option. Moreno could still work out, I've seen enough of Misi in the middle to know it isn't working, and we have no developmental QB to replace Moore on our roster as backup next season.

Posted by: fin4life | August 21, 2014 at 12:30 AM Very few people claim to be any sort of genius football mind. Usually people just call it like they see it. Our troll has a real problem misinterpreting people giving an opinion as being the same as claiming to be an expert on football. It's actually weird how often he makes that mistake.

Posted by: Bobbyd12 | August 20, 2014 at 07:51 PM Wallace arm and body catches bombs, he doesn't catch them with his hands. He can't fight for a ball if he wanted to catching that way. Ben had more arc on his bombs so they dropped in, Tannehill doesn't have that so it forces a hands catch which Wallace doesn't want. We can all see Wallace has issues catching be it technique, concentration, whatever.

Posted by: Julio | August 20, 2014 at 10:15 PM Wanstache is responsible for over a decade of mediocrity, just from his failed drafts. Followed by a alot more average drafts and you have a team with no long term stars but a punter.
