Wait... this guy puts out a fatwah (let's just call it a fatwah because that's what this is)... saying the army is gonna start a war to get people running to their sewing machines. WAT?

BTW to clarify a bit more what I just said... I'm not saying it's bad to study Torah (or for Xians, the Bible)... but it's mathematically impossible to support an able-bodied population that grows which produces negative income and GDP. You eventually reach a point where those being asked to pay more and more will be crushed by the burden and join the ranks of the beneficiaries themselves. Economics doesn't work this way. Some people find it their life's calling to employ themselves to their faith and depend on social network charity for sustenance [that's how professional religion works... everywhere]. But as a civilization you can't have this population overwhelm the rest of society making it bone idle or you don't have a civilization anymore. Political Islam doesn't work for the very same reason. Mullahs sit on their fat asses cashing checks while everyone else is slave-driven. The more cooks in the kitchen the faster the system collapses; so this system stays afloat by putting the whole nation's ideology into a small room of mullahs who basically convert to a theocratic oligarchy, making it quite easy to wipe out the regime with a few strategic air strikes. Political Christianity survived a lot longer in the history books because it was never about faith and always about empire. I'm sure these folks think they're doing the country a great service by shoving their face in a book and praying for favor. I dunno. My cynicism is pretty high today.

Hi. Stupid goyim here. I know it's been a loooong hiatus. But one thing that strikes me here about yeshiva is how in the "Christian" (heavy air quotes) world, at least in the States anyway... if you went anywhere saying "oh hai please can you give me some money so I can study the Bible and can you also pay for my kids? I don't do birth control so I'm probably gonna have anywhere between 9 and 15 of them. SANKS in advance!" you would pretty-much be crucified. Even with early English-speaking Protestants you had the Royal supremacy with the government as head of the church... they still didn't pay for the lifestyles of the bishops. Because the nobility wouldn't tolerate having half their income or more being sucked away to pay for it. So, stupid me... I can't understand how one can go to the unwashed masses and ask them to pay for your moral lifestyle to sit at a school and study a book full of rules; then have the audacity to be disappointed when they say no.

Also, her background: http://forward.com/articles/175154/orthodox-slumlords-and-their-tenants/?p=all She chastised one landlord who was trying to avoid working on tenant complaints over Hanukkah that it isn't a yom tov obervance.

Time to put a strip club in Bloomingburg. Right in the middle of it. And hire superlawyers to defend it in court to keep it open.

Max Stark was a slumlord. Nobody can erase that no matter how hard they try. It's in the public record for all to see. The evacuation of the Sweater Factory lofts by the NYDOB was that bad.

It's obvious that these killers watched "The Godfather" where Michael Corleone's new wife gets blown up. This story gets more and more ridiculous every day. Posted by: RWisler | January 11, 2014 at 11:12 PM ------------------- He sleeps with the fishes.

So I'm guessing boys everywhere show their penises to the world? Who the hell would know if you're cut or not in grade school?

Lapid is a barking idiot. just like his father before him, they like to posture loud and bark loud. From day one of the creation of the state, observant girls are exempt of the military service, no questions asked except if indeed they are observant. So he can keep barking. Posted by: Yosef ben Matitya | January 11, 2014 at 07:11 AM -------------------------- Yeah you don't get it. The IDF is in dire need of personnel and the old societal expectations of who does what is being turned upside down because the military is desperate. Short of flooding Israel of foreigners paid to serve in the Army (do you want to see a bunch of Egyptian men serving in the IDF?); it's better to hire from home than to hire from abroad. Women only behave like little toy dogs when they're programmed by society to be that way. Enough female Marines pulled out their 1911 and shot their attackers that the assaults abruptly quit. Let females continue to carry service weapons during downtime and leave the men unarmed when they're not on duty and you'll have no problems.

Allowing the church to run the state is suicide for any civilization. Same goes for clerics trying to call the shots of the military. Dumb.

Looks like the IDF is hitting brick walls and will soon have to start giving away Israeli citizenship to mercenaries (soldiers for hire) in order to fill the ranks. Don't think it unthinkable, the US Army and Marine Corps still permit it. It's the fastest way for a Guatemalan to get here legally and with open arms. I'd imagine IDF will do the same. http://www.google.com/hostednews/afp/article/ALeqM5iDLKb9KreZQpQvLrlpI-FuAw-AaA

Perlmutter's own parents flew down from Montreal to go to this wedding but he stayed locked up? What's up with that--the bodyguards couldn't come to the wedding?

Oops the quote I was looking for in reference to the above: "you guys are plain jealous" I was not beaten, choked, and burned in a dumpster. He was. Obviously, God likes me more than He liked Stark. ------------------------- Obviously when God wants me back he'll send Rosie O' Donnell to sit on me until I turn purple and pass on to the other side to meed the LORD. Through one's ass is an eternity of destinies. Who were the angels sent from the LORD to take Max Stark from us in God's Dodge minivan?

"joyous about a persons murder" Nobody here is rejoicing about his murder, but, quite frankly, he seems to have earned what he got. The NY Post was right. Posted by: WoolSilkCotton; I must be seen to be believed | January 08, 2014 at 03:21 PM ----------------------- LOL that's a good one I'll have to use that one someday. If this were the Westboro Baptist Church, the retort probably would be something akin "Stark was so important that God needed him back quickly." So he sent angels down in a Dodge minivan to whisk him away!

Nobody was forcing any of these tenants to live in any Stark properties! Posted by: jimmyInBkln | January 08, 2014 at 11:10 AM ---------------- Like most tenants; the problems aren't revealed until after the lease is signed. I also understand that Stark was requiring FOUR months rent for leases (two months deposit plus first and last?). That happens to be illegal here in Philly but I dunno about NYC, maybe that's fine up your way. Tenants of his buildings did complain. Not each individual one complains in a large building because most tenants are afraid of leases being torn up in a flash. Usually it's the most vocal in a building who initially file the complaints. Some larger buildings will form a tenant union if the situation is quite protracted. Philadelphia tenants are a little bit more proactive (thanks to activists like me) who connect tenants to resources and that's mainly because housing lawyers seeking to defend tenants in Landlord-Tenant Court have direct access to the court's computer system and can see the eviction cases being bulk-filed so they use that to front-run landlords who try to pull the eviction lever as retribution. [Our courts require no open code violations before the court will permit an eviction petition to proceed] I lived in this building in Philadelphia which seemed to get it start almost the exact same way as the Sweater Factory: an illegal conversion. The situation didn't change until a rent strike and swift action by the City swept in after embarassing headlines. The landlord was actually debating the utility of building sprinklers in a 10 story building. [Stark's contractors had plastered over the sprinkler heads in the Sweater Factory, breaking the fire suppression system] So jimmy, how do you think the Satmar community would handle a situation where Stark wasn't murdered, but one of his buildings goes up in smoke killing a bunch of gentiles, and their goyim family then storm into Greenpoint and Williamsburg in protest baying for Stark's blood? Batten down the hatches? http://archives.citypaper.net/articles/102600/cb.citybeat.chestnut.shtml

fahrfumt: Even if it didn't say hasid in the headline; you'd still get upset that the photo splashed across the page had him in a bekishe with side locks. Sorry, there's no pictures available of him sipping mai tais in Cancun with a fade haircut, no beard in a Hawaiian shirt, available.

Mefoar: Isn't it funny though how some landlords suddenly can drop everything and are ALL EARS once you dock the rent check? You sure don't get that when you need to locate them to send the process server their direction. It's easier to find absolution with G-d than it is to find the landlord when he knows the proc server is looking for him.

I wonder if from the hasid's letter to the editor (I'm assuming this is what it is), whether his standards will make an exception for a goy who donates generously to a Satmar charity of the author's liking. IOW, can I bribe you to at least say that I'm a human being worthy to exist, or is that too much to ask?
