The life of a Sea Squirt (tunicate) is an interesting and cautionary tale. As a juvenile, a sea squirt's early life is spent swimming around exploring it's world. When the sea squirt matures it settles down and, seeking security, attaches itself to a rock. ...Then it promptly digests it's own... Continue reading

It seems I hear more and more people claiming they're "all alone". Being all alone is a bit of a myth. We're as alone as two drops of water in the ocean. If we FEEL we are alone it's because we can't find the energy to experience others. Another myth... Continue reading

When we suspend the stress induced autocraving pathology that's perpetuated as economic policy, we find an opportunity to rediscover a timeless joy and true sense of fulfillment the likes of which can only be created and nurtured from within. In a world of on-demand disconnected disposability here we find ourselves... Continue reading

Life is perceived as snapshots of change, one instant to another. The nervous system processes our reality as 'differences'... Hotter - colder, lighter - darker, louder - quieter etc. You notice these aspects of your external and internal environment as the changes shift back and forth along the relative spectrum... Humans make health over-complicated, mostly because our conscious mind likes to think it's running the whole show... But it need not be so. It's simple, so simple one of the key factors that determines how much illness or wellness you get to enjoy in life is even indicated by the... Continue reading

Searching occurs with regard to the presumed space in which you are looking. Whereas seeking is based upon what it is you wish to find. If you are searching for more outside the box, you are still limited by your concept of the box. But if you simply seek more,... Continue reading

No BnB camera today, so no blog. Here's what it looked like from dry land... Important notice! TRIVIA NIGHT 2017 Note from Management: to clear up any confusion, the 2017 Quiz Night is not a B&B event. It is an event run outside of B&B by two B&B members, Roz... Continue reading

The throng gathered slightly north of our usual location, due to a beach race being held today. A sky that bettered the background in any Frazetta fantasy artwork the reward for this slight shift from normal. Freshly groomed sand beguiling to the sole in an otherwise brumal transit. Gentle shore... Continue reading

Happiness and fulfilment have very little to do with your circumstance. The culture conditions you to 'think' otherwise; that you can only be happy when you change your circumstances, because culture needs you to be a good consumer. That’s the problem with thoughts, they’re like a shadow between yourself and... Continue reading

There's a saying, 'You Can't Teach Heart'... In this case 'Heart' being the ability to dig deep and find what's necessary to move beyond your current limitations. It's said with the implication that you can learn anything, but heart is something you either possess or you don't. It's highly probable... Continue reading

You know that metaphor about the oyster and a pearl? The pearl being created by sand irritating the oyster - a good thing resulting from a bad situation etc... I’m not sure the pearl is actually the end result of this process. Really the result is the feeling of ease.... Continue reading

In physics they call it Symmetry Breaking, a bifurcation. It's a small incident, seemingly arbitrary, but one which occurs at such a critical moment that it can determine the fate of a whole system. A fork in the road, a point at which to decide direction, from a present chaotic... Continue reading

Ever notice how there seems to be more money, more information, more technology... More ability to do, know and communicate. More of everything, including dissatisfaction. More is a pretty strong narrative. Society as we know it today has been built upon getting more. Unfortunately the story of needing to bring... Continue reading

Thanks. ... The Olympus camera is pretty darn good for point and click, and nature is a flattering subject to photograph. If the photo is too under or over exposed I play with the light settings. Other than that just show up and capture what the morning provides.

Ask people what they'd need in life to be happy and the general response is more money. Apparently being independently wealthy seems to be the path to happiness. But how long should we postpone happiness in the pursuit of gaining wealthiness? Wealth can be infinite, and it's relative. Happiness is... Continue reading

Thanks for the feedback. Glad you enjoyed it. Disclaimer: The blurry photo was simply capitalising on a fortunate stuff-up.
