Adult-ing can make your spring break days feel eons away, but that's why they invented the "ditch day". I invite you to do just that. I say if you can’t take a week, then why not take a day and spring break yourself free from the confines of your desk? My destination ditch day suggestion: Desert X, located throughout the Coachella Valley. Trust me. You'll thank me later. Continue reading

Since the whole idea of "Fat Tuesday" is to let loose, indulge, and do all the crazy things you'd regret not doing before buttoning it all up on Ash Wednesday, I decided to indulge all of you with a jammed packed post with pictures, highlighting my best moments when in NOLA. So grab some Mardi Gras beads and wear to wander with me down this NOLA memory lane of mine. I can practically taste the Hurricanes now! Cheers. Continue reading

Overall, the last four months have been chilly, rainy, and cold, AKA perfect reading weather! I've somehow managed to curl up these last 120 days with three different thrillers. Because when its chilly out, I like to get "thrilly" in. Ha. I never said I was cool. Anyway, check out what I read and my books reviews below, bookworms. Continue reading

Took on the first flea market of the year, yesterday at the Long Beach Antique and Flea market in search of some new plants to replace the green that my Christmas tree brought, and its safe to say that in 2017, flea marketing with friends, will continue to be one of my favorite pastimes! I have to give it up to the amazingly kind, generous, and thoughtful people out there...friends, family, anonymous donators who reached out, opened up their wallets---and thus their hearts---to the victims of sex-trafficking and human slavery. Your donations helped to reached a total of $1.4 million dollars this year! This is enough money to rescue and rehabilitate 222 victims, to these brutal crimes. So, THANK YOU! Please know that your graciousness will make a difference in someone's life. Although, this is the largest amount EVER generated by the Dressember campaign, there is still a TON of work to be done. The official campaign closes at the end of January, so if you're feeling compelled to start of the new year with a good deed, please let this be the one! Continue reading

For the last two years, I have had the pleasure of partaking in the incredible month long journey that is Dressember; and this year isn't any different! For 31 days straight, I will be dawning a dress in the name of human dignity! The idea of wearing a dress daily, through one of the coldest months of the year, is a way to show solidarity as females, for females. This small sacrifice is a way to help gain donations to fund rescue missions to help save enslaved victims of sex-trafficking worldwide. Continue reading

As consumers its important to shop small and support your very own local economy. So this Saturday, I made sure to hit up one of my favorite areas to "shop small", downtown Fullerton. My new must-shop-stop is the oh-so-cozily curated, Found Shop. Its a home décor, gift-giving, vintage furniture selling boutique, which is pretty much merchandised to perfection, an awesome place to also soak up some Holiday inspiration! Continue reading

This past week, I had the pleasure of hanging in my mom's adorable town, Pleasanton, located up north in the Easy Bay, and her city happens to host the cutest farmers market on Saturdays---rain or shine---right downtown. So pretty much the perfect spot to do a little meal prepping and food pick up for the big feasting day. Continue reading

My October Wear-to-Wander Must-Do's: Visit Disneyland Honestly, this is my MOST favorite time of year to walk down Main Street at Disneyland. The characters wear the cutest, spookiest costumes. The pumpkins are carved to perfection, the souvenirs are silly, the Fall landscaping and leaves are absolutely boo-tiful, and of course... Continue reading

Seeing the zombie-filled rendition of the 1968 cult classic film, Night of the Living Dead at the Maverick Theater, is always on my calendar for the month of October. The tickets are inexpensive and every seat in the tiny auditorium is a good one. A scarily good treat! I'm not tricking ya! So, do yourself a favor, and use your brainssssssss to remember to book tickets for this show next year...if you dare! Continue reading

In honor of the National Park Services centennial celebration, I thought I would share one of my most favorite wanderings of the year, my April trip to the Grand Canyon! Seeing the Grand Canyon has been at the top of my bucket list for some time now, so being able to check it off this past year, was extra special. Pictures will never do this national treasure justice, even though I took about a million, but what I will never forget is the feeling I felt, standing there, at the edge of the abyss, feeling so small but so full at the same time. A quick trip of a lifetime. Thanks Teddy Roosevelt for preserving this slice of heaven on earth! Continue reading

For vegans attending a "Faire" actually isn't very "fair" at all when it comes to food selection. Between the turkey legs, the funnel cake, and the deep fried everything, its usually quite hard to find something to eat that's cruelty free. Oh the torture, we want to indulge in some deep fried delicacies too! Lucky for us Orange County veg-heads, Healthy Junk of Anaheim hosted their 3rd annual Vegan Faire yesterday and the food was a-flowing! Continue reading
