Posted by: Promichael | August 14, 2014 at 02:35 PM My point exactly....what did we gain by winning those games??? It set us back 3 yrs now. Instead of Luck we have Tannehill? You obviously don't understand the game? Why have a $5.5 million QB on the bench when we don't have a Team that can win the division much less the SB?? Why don't you check and see what SF, Sea, NO and NE are paying there back-up QB. Maybe then you will understand. Either way I gotta go. So all have a great day!

I remember all the talk that the Phins should have drafted Drew Brees and Matt Ryan and they were right. We missed the boat on both as well as Johnny Football. Posted by: Fins should've drafted Johnny Football | August 14, 2014 at 02:27 PM Please do not get confused Johnny manziel is not nor will he ever be a Drew Brees or Matt Ryan. Manziel is Doug Flutie and will be on the bench end of this year if he even gets off the bench. Did you watch the Browns game last week. He was HORRIBLE. He cannot even beat out Hoyer....who the F is Hoyer?? Is that Stenny Hoyer?? I though he was an old congressman!!

Posted by: Promichael | August 14, 2014 at 02:21 PM I understand your point. I will speak for myself here. I don't want a guy like Moore to come in and win a few games to save Philbins job. I think back to the year Luck came out. Until Moore came in and won games we should have won we were in the suck for luck hunt. Just imagine where this season would be heading if we had LUCK?? Moore is a capable back-up he wll never be more than that. $5.5million is just too much for a capable back-up

I remember all the talk that the Phins should have drafted Tebow and Brady Quinn or went after Cassel, Schwab and Smith......what have any of them won?? What is their future? Now the very same dummies are saying Manziel should have been drafted by us???? Don't you watch the NFL?? Manziel will last one season in the NFL. He is a slower weaker armed Vick and what has he won?? He cannot even start ahead of Gino Smith or Nick Foles!!

promichael the conversation was that Moore is overpaid as a back-up. Cap money saved this year rolls over to next year. If we have the availability to pick up a starting MLB or a #1 WR or a Top notch OL to get us to the promised land than that money will help.

Dashi there is no exemption from purposely hitting somebody with a car in NYS whether its on a race track or the middle of Times Sq. The waiver signed is for bodily injury that may occur in the course of a MVA. Under the law a pedestrian can walk into the middle of traffic and it is still the responsibility of the motor vehicle operator to avoid hitting the pedestrian. The vehicle must make every attempt to avoid contact. This is why at MVA's with a fatality it is treated as a crime scene. With evidence bagged and measurements of skid marks taken for hours. The tape on this crime is clear and convincing. Stewart not only does not avoid contact but he throttles the car so that it clips the kid sideways. Obviously to scare or knock the down. The evidence does not bear out intent to kill. I do agree that Stewart should be banned from racing and the County Prosecutor must enact a grand jury.

Promichael MIT gives his draft analysis before the draft. He puts together all the variables and numbers and is usually spot on in his theory. We may not agree with some of his picks but history has shown that MIT's picks have been a lot better than some of the pics the Dolphins have made. I am not saying that MIT should be our GM but he understands the metrics of salary cap and the metrics of rating a prospect.

I am still not sure the prosecutor will bring a case because Stewart can claim he never saw the kid on the track. If I were the prosecutor or an officer in that county I would make the arrest due to stewarts history of bad temper and the fact that he made a move to side swipe the kid instead of hitting him head on. The law could prove stewart was trying to scare or even knock the kid down, but was not trying to kill or maim. That's why I would charge Manslaughter 1. Stewart could plead that down to depraved indifference and get off with probation.

MIT and Dashi as you know I happen to know a thing or two about NYS legal statutes. Tony Stewart is clearly exhibiting an indifference to the safety of this kid he hit with his car. In NYS this is called depraved indifference. No matter that the kid walked onto a race track with cars racing by. Tony Stewart still has the responsibility to avoid injury to a person and can be charged with Murder in the second degree: however my feeling is that a charge of Manslaughter 1st degree: A person is guilty of first-degree manslaughter when he or she: (a) with intent to cause serious physical injury to another person, causes the death of such person or a third person; (b) with intent to cause the death of another person, causes the death of such person or a third person while "under the influence of extreme emotional disturbance"; (c) commits an unjustified abortional act upon a female pregnant for more than 24 weeks which causes her death; or (d) with intent to cause physical injury to a person less than 11 years old, a defendant 18 years old or more "recklessly engages in conduct which creates a grave risk of serious physical injury to such person and thereby causes the death of such person."

There is a place in East Hanover NJ called Miami Mikes its a total Dolphins place...he has draft parties, pre season parties and in season parties. If Dolphins win every Phin fan gets a teal colored shot to toast the victory. And everytime we score guess what he plays??? Yup the Dolphins fight song!!

Wallyfin that the point you will never forget the calls against us just as the fans of our opponents can recite penalties that helped us win. That's is the point right there.

Not only were 69 called against but 91 penalties were called against our opponents so that argument FLIES right out the window!! http://www.nflpenalties.com/

The Dolphins also did not have an 'Easy" schedule for 3 year in a row.....we dominated the league defensively. In fact we lost only 5 games in 3 years and gave up 150 pts, 170 pts and 174 pts in those 3 yrs. It was total domination!

Broken Record not only at the games but also in the bars on Sundays. There are actually Dolphins bars in NYC and NJ!!

Cocoajoe we only had 69 penalties called against us last year. We ranked 30th??

MiamiD20 it does feel like that. Even at Patriot and Bills game we come out in numbers.....just ask MIT or CraigM they are at the same games as me. The Dolphins have a national following and at away games we do represent. Not as strong as the Steelers but we are close.

Broken Record on the announcers will disagree. The networks and the announcers have never respected the Dolphins. Especially ESPN and now NFL network. In fact ESPN may as well be called Buffalo Network when Boomer is on and NFL network should change the name to NE network. Even when the Dolphins were winning we couldn't get a break. In fact the announcers have always demeaned the Perfect Season. They are on record as stating the Dolphins had a easy schedule.

I will also say this about Miami......unfortunately Miami has the WORST fans in the NFL. In fact the out of state Dolphin fans are better fans than the in state fans. If the Dolphins are winning the stadium is nearly full but still almost half is for opposing team. And the Miami fans are way too quiet. Orange Bowl days were different. That stadium rocked for our PHINS!!

I am54 an have lived in a few major markets myself. Including NYC, Miami, Buffalo, Toronto, DC and South NJ which would be Philly market. I must agree the fans of these areas also believe that the refs have in for their teams. I have also traveled to many, many games at opposing stadiums and have heard the same thing. In fact during the Shula years it was thought that the Dolphins got all the calls because the refs were afraid of Shula and the power he had with the league. All nonsense of course if you watch the games. ASk ANY Raider fan and he will swear that the NFL has is in for the Raiders because of Al Davis!!

Posted by: Marc from nj | July 25, 2014 at 05:19 PM Marc I live in NYC and I drive out there. Its like being at Sun Life for a sold out game. They are always on the main huge screen and Mike even plays the fight song after we score. The place is packed with Dolfans!

Marc from nj did you ever go to Miami Mikes on RT 10 in East Hanover for a Dolphins game?

Tannehill will get Landry killed with his errant passes just like he did Keller. Posted by: Mark in NJ | July 25, 2014 at 05:03 PM Mark you know this statement is not true. You need to remember that we, as mere fans, do not know pivot points, blocking schemes, where a WR should be at what point, same for OL and QB they are supposed to hit spots. Saying what you said just is not true. Look at the tape again.
