Today, Lower School were visited by an archaeologist! We learnt how archaeologists find artefacts and how they work out which time period they come from. It was fascinating to think about how a few objects can begin to tell stories from the past. To top it all off, we even had the chance to hold real Roman pottery, coins and even poo! With a little help from Ug, Om and The Stone Age Boy, we've also written some fabulous setting descriptions, instructions on how to catch a prehistoric beast and diary entries sharing how much we hate wearing stone trousers! We finished our topic by reflecting on everything we've learnt and working collaboratively to produce a whole class Stone Age fact file. Continue reading
