My partner and I are starting to assemble all of our final material. We're building up different parts of our paper and we're going to start working on our presentation soon. We're confident that we can accomplish everything we need to. Im a little worried about making a quality presentation. I want the insights we can provide to be valuable. I have some worry about figuring out the value were bringing to the table. I would have liked to be more involved with WebFEAT's processes and what's happening within the company. I feel like that experience could have led to... Continue reading

Right now I am adding to a spreadsheet of possible client leads for WebFEAT. For this, I am planning on adding more than I need to. I dont want to hit the minimum of 50 leads and then WebFEAT tells us that certain industries or clients arent doable. I have some worry that some clients may not have the proper revenue streams to afford WebFEAT's services, even though the businesses would benefit from using them. Being able to judge the size and if it's the correct size for WebFEAT is a concern of mine, so I might as well shoot... Continue reading

A group of employees we met with at WebFEAT sent us an email filled with exact measurements and permissions of how we can reach out to clients. With this information, we can start working on the big parts of the the project. It was incredibly helpful and I'm very thankful that WebFEAT took time out their week to help us with it. Admittedly, I didnt do enough work on the Capstone project this week. I got so caught up in looking for a career and other life responsibilites, that I put this project on a back burner. I actually feel a weird level of guilt over it. I plan on dong more actions this week. Im going to try to get ahead of the deadlines a little, that way I can balance it properly again. Finally, after getting halfway through the semester, my partner and I sat down with WebFEAT Complete for the first time. It was a good meeting and I actually feel better about the project walking out of it. Tessa and I were feeling overwhelmed last week. We were looking over how many tasks we had to accomplish, not knowing how in depth some of those tasks would be, and how we were going to fit it all into the rest of the semester. After meeting with WebFEAT, we were able to discuss the specifics on the tasks and learn about how... Continue reading

After some communication shifting, my partner and I feel like we're at a good understanding of the project to begin at the rate that we want to. The objectives that we have to accomplish have become more clear. We still need some final information on the charter, but we know what we have to do at what level. I am feeling more confident on the project already. I believe that once we really start working on the project, things will flow even better. This morning my partner and I had a Skype call with Professor Boyd where some concerns of... Continue reading

Today is the day we turn in our charter. I'm excited to have it done and more excited to have it signed. Once we have an agreement with WebFEAT, we can start working and that's what I am looking forward too. I'm feeling what a lot of my other Capstone classmates are feeling. This is a waiting period before the real work begins. I have conflicting thoughts about it. I am preparing and strategizing in the ways I can, but I haven't had the opportunity to learn about the company in the detail I would like to. It seems like... Continue reading

This marks the start of week 3 of the MS Capstone class. Making the class about 20% of the way done and it still feels like there is a lot to do. After the initial client meeting, I became aware of a new problem that I will have to tackle this week. I am working on a project for webFeat Complete, a e-Marketing and Web Design company, with my partner, Tessa Ward. On a phone call with the CEO, she brought up how there are some language barriers with potential clients. As a client asks for more from webFEAT, the... Continue reading
