One of my favorite memories of traveling in Egypt was a stop on the into the desert. We drove into the Bahariya Oasis as the last stop. Surrounded by date palms, we went for a quick swim in some mineral springs. It was a little strange being the only woman swimming, but I decided to not let it bother me and just enjoyed the water. I looked up above the pool and I saw a bright pink dragonfly- more spectacular than any dragonfly I've seen before or since.

Have you seen this iPhone? I lost it yesterday at a street fair and I haven't seen it since. I fear it may have been kidnapped, trafficked into the phone black market. It was such a classic tragedy. This long weekend was action packed between people getting out of town, Valentine's day and the Chinese new year. It was also a great opportunity to get some work done on my best friend's houseboat. It was a sunny and quiet couple days and honestly, there's no where else I would've wanted to be. We fooled around with some floorboard scraps to come up with a cool design for the floor of the cockpit area. All the while tk, my rotty/shepard mix, was curled up on the couch watching us work with mild curiousity. Once we were done laying down...
