I haven't read through the comments so someone else may have already said it, but this reminded me of the Twilight Zone :) I really liked it.
Flash Fiction: The Monster In My Closet
About two hours ago, I thought to myself, "'There's a monster in my closet' would be a neat way to start out one of those scary short stories I loved to read when I was in middle school." I wrote it down, then wrote a little more and a little more. Right around the time I realized I had no idea ...
Alpha Centauri FTW! There are certain games like that (and Civ) that I go back to over and over again, they are just so awesome.
on video game reviews and the power and influence of marketing
I came across this post at No High Scores yesterday. It's about how mega publishers are starting to limit access to the media in terms of review copies, overall access, as well as in potential ad money. There are a lot of great things about working in the games industry. You know what the bes...
I rarely check game reviews from the review sites or magazines, unless I specifically want to see how a game rated. Mostly I rely on word of mouth from people who have played it. I'm primarily a PC gamer so I also use sites like Raptr, GOG, and GamersGate because I can check user reviews.

I'd be into a digital copy
anyone interested in a short fiction collection?
I have a question for everyone who reads my blog: if I put some short stories I'd written together into a little collection and sold it at Lulu, would you be interested? I ask this because I collected a few short stories into a limited edition chapbook for last year's PAX Prime, and it's been si...
When you do finally get to watch Matt Smith, I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on the season. I'm struggling with this season, but I think it has more to do with the writing than with Matt Smith as The Doctor. The only episodes I've really liked were the ones written by Moffatt. Maybe I'm just stuck in my ways.
in which cha0s returns to #leverage, and @wilw gets screwed by drm for the last time
I've known about this for over a month, but I couldn't even hint at it until today: I'm returning to Leverage later this season, as superhacker Cha0s. WIRED's Underwire talked to me a little bit about it, and broke the news earlier today. I also wrote another column for Techland, about how I got...
For what it's worth, it's really easy to catch up on all of the seasons. I first found out about The Guild when they had just put up episode 1 of season 3, and I watched all of seasons 1 and 2 that evening. The episodes are short, so it's not hard to do. Plus they're on dvd now!
Radio Free Burrito: Episode Twenty-Eight
Holy Crap, it's time for a new episode of Radio Free Burrito! Has it really been three weeks since the last show? I guess it has. Well, I brought a note that will hopefully excuse my absence... Show Notes: The logo was designed by WWdN:iX reader Marc, who asked that I not link to his "in progr...
That was a great interview with Felicia, glad I listened :) and I'm excited for season 4 of The Guild!

Cool :) Listening away then
in which another secret is revealed...
Spoiler alert: If this interests you, you really want to listen to Radio Free Burrito Episode 28.
I was so hoping you would make a return! I usually listen to RFB, but I don't want any Guild spoilers (other than your return, which is awesome!)

So my question from this is: how long will you wait at a light (that is obviously not going to change) before just going on the red?
Radio Free Burrito: Episode Twenty-Three
Holy Crap, it's time for a new episode of Radio Free Burrito! It's a very brief episode this week, because I've just been too busy to cook up a proper burrito. Show Notes: The logo was designed by WWdN:iX reader Marc, who asked that I not link to his "in progress" website. Thanks, Marc! Radio ...
I know there's already been a lot of "I'm totally with you" responses to this, but man, I'm totally with you on this. I finished Dragon Age (for the first time) last night and I'll admit it, I cried a bit at the end. The decisions you have to make in that game aren't easy, but it absolutely makes the game that much more worth playing! I also started a new game of Dragon Age, so I can try a different story, make different choices, and see how it comes out again in the end. When you reach the end, if you need a shoulder, I'm there.
regarding the matter of video games v. movies
I had the house to myself last night, so I could watch whatever nerdy DVD or DVR'd movie I wanted, as loud as I wanted. I've been talking about re-watching the Lord of the Rings trilogy (extended editions, of course) for a couple of months, but when I finally had a chance to get started, I ended...
