It's interesting how nobody has publicly accused the widespread corporate culture in Japan that emphasizes long hours and discourages any sort of life outside of work. That certainly can't help, and it seems a heck of a lot more plausible than the other two suggested solutions, which have the ring of "Goddamn Kids & Their Rock & Roll" to them.

I'm positively shocked that someone hasn't built something like this in Portland yet. Yeah, we have Ground Kontrol (as Crystal pointed out), but Ground Kontrol isn't a pub.
