I had a very empowering realization today. It was so simple, yet incredibly profound. TAG Cards officially, will be free of charge! As soon as I came to this conclusion, that the cards would be free and virtual, I released myself from the dread I began to... Continue reading

If I only had 10 arms and 10 legs then I could run faster, reach further and accomplish more! Not that the goal is to only accomplish here, it's also to enjoy, live and simply be. But with so much to do and such a drive to get things done, it's hard not to wonder- what if? It's busy season with The Shop Agora, and it's great! We've launched our online store and have been getting almost daily orders. It makes me realize how magnificent the internet really is. It also inspires me to work with TAG online and see... There has been something in the air this past week. I'm normally "running around" doing things all the time. That's what I tell everyone I talk to. My friends call up, "hey what are you doing?" "Oh, I'm just running around." But not this week, I've been full out sprinting! It's been great to be busy with shop things, and working with our new website for Agora. I've also had some more ideas flood my mind about TAG. I'm excited to see where they go. I've been inspired to get a little info card printed and attach it to the... Continue reading

There's nothing like the view of home. I so look forward to going home and retreating back into nature whenever I visit my family. And every time I make my way back to the city I feel refreshed and ready for it's energy charge. I realize the ideal situation would be city for the week and retreat for the weekend... Red, Green & Everything In Between Things take place through sight and through blind action. Much of growing up is simply seeing where you acted blindly. I know where I was wrong, in believing that the idea of something is somehow better than what it actually is, better than the raw, bitter truth of who someone is. Living out a rugged, misunderstood life is far more admirable then pretending to be something you aren't. I see you now. You are true, honest, and real. The outside world thought you were colorless, they couldn't have been more wrong. You are who... Continue reading

The day before Thanksgiving is the busiest travel day of the year. I forgot about this when I headed downtown to my parents with my brother. We have to make boats so it takes traveling to a whole other level. You're not only trying to beat traffic but trying to escape ferry lines and overflowing holding lots. I must admit it's entertaining in an awful way to see how people behave by the masses on a day like today. We're all going somewhere to celebrate a day of thanks and believe me, no one at the ferry terminal is acting... Continue reading

In putting together little TAG Card gifts along with The Shop Agora's prized gluten free hazelnut cookies-they just looked so cute! I had to take a picture, even though it's so poorly lit an very low quality. Continue reading

What's on the books for today? Lots. I need to finishing editing and sizing card images for the web. Then, I'm going to get my Etsy Storefront started. I will also have the cards posted on The Shop Agora website and a few others. The goal is to make TAG as visible as possible on the internet and provide an incentive for others to join in the excitement of the project. When I have the updated sites, I will post them here for you to see. Thanks for your interest and if you have any other online shop ideas for... Continue reading

I've been running a marathon for a while now. Starting up a shop takes serious reserves, you have to be prepared to work hard, focus, and retain strength for when times aren't so easy. I've done it. And now, as we close our second year in one week, I have to dig deep to find that extra bit of stamina within me to go full force. The finish line for this part of the race is somewhere up ahead, but this last leg is the hardest part. It's where giving up may cross your mind and where fatigue sets in.... Continue reading

After a complete day's worth of sizing and cropping images, I'm about to go blind at the computer. I know I've put in a full day's worth of work when at the end of it things start to blur. I try to break up my computer bouts with walking my doggy or a yoga class, today it didn't happen. I got a lot accomplished and will probably crash as a result (not recommended). What was I doing? Today is all about Croccante di Nocciole. I've been updating my Shop Agora's website to prepare for an article in Food & Wine... Continue reading

Embrace The Past We all embody numerous layers and sides to ourselves. Peeling them back reveals the vulnerable core of who we are. As time passes more complexities are revealed, if we allow and if we are willing to look. There is nothing that brings your layers to the surface more than revisiting your childhood home. It can often take you back to places you don't expect or may not even remember-until you're there. Every time I go back home I journey back in time to my younger years. They are the years that do an up-close shot on my... Continue reading

I grew up in a family where I was always encouraged to help others when I could. Sometimes this meant donating your time, or providing someone with a potential business contact. Whatever it is, you always possess something that can be helpful to the next person you encounter. And no, It doesn't have to be money! Most often, this invaluable bit of something is a piece of knowledge or a connection you have. When my husband and I first opened our little Shop Agora it wouldn't have taken much from a seasoned pro, business person that is, to help us... Continue reading
