The article and comments sounds a little elitist to me. If anything, more people need to come in into programming. so that in 100 years it will be a basic human capability, which goes: walking->speaking->reading->writing->calculating->programming you just sound like monks of the 12th century, making fun of the peasants who can't read your copy of the bible and you propose elaborate schemes to screen out people who shouldn't be allowed into the monastery in the first place.
