That win was pure luck, how can we struggle like this against a team with David West as his biggest star???? Looks like our inability in defending the 3pt line hasn't been improved from last season. Marcus Thornton is a real deal, what did we get in return?
Seeing how we are using Beasley we should've drafted Russell Westbrook. Posted by: HeatDolphans#1 | November 04, 2009 at 01:17 AM ----------------- Westbrook is a Dwade type player and he'll be a sixth man for the rest of his Heat tenure if Dwade doesn't leave in 2010. Or maybe he'll become a spot up shooter who can't shoot in the strating lineup.
Joel Anthony + Udonis Haslem + James Jones + Carlos Arroyo + Dorell Wright What a genius Spoelstra is! Who's the go-to guy?
I have no hope in this guy. He keeps telling the media and fans to be patient but nothing new happened this far. He's no more than a 23M free cap in the next summer.
If it wasn't getting marcus banks' contract dumped, the matrix-JO deal was a lopsided bust for us. JO sucks like hell. By the way, we've fed an ill-pig for 6 years in Wright. It hurts me when I think of another 17th pick in 2005.
As a fan who pays hundreds of dollars to watch evry Heat game, I am disappointed in this off-season. The Heat showed where their loyalties lie; to the bottom line-profit. Heat is not loyal to fans but to the almighty dollar. Wade is loyal to his fans and gives his all to perform. I am a fan of his game...not the Heat. Sam Smith is always an idiot dreaming Dwade playing for the Bulls. What a master of masturbating.
BTW, if iverson is such a bad ball hog,,, how did he average over 6 asst/game over his career? Posted by: doctorb | July 15, 2009 at 12:36 PM =============== Hey newbie, there are so many things that statistics couldn't reflect. Look at Starbury's stats, he averages 7.6 apg throughout his career but he's such a cancer to all those teams
Then, we have a top group of Ai WADE BEAS BOOZ JO ODOM CHALMERS COOK BEVERLY Magliore Backup Big And, we have a shot at all 3, all odom has to do is take 1 m less. Posted by: Dom | July 13, 2009 at 08:17 PM =================== Why would Lamar go to a medicore team for less money and and without a bigger role instead of taking more and stay with a reigning champion?
Seriously, I am somewhat upset at Artest for costing almost nothing. 6 mil for 3 years. That is ridiculous. He easily deserves money in the 10-12 mil range. He gave the Lakers a huge discount, which I find very unfair. First Gasol is gifted to them now this, and it looks like they might even sign Odom back. But I guess that's just how it works, so I can't complain too much, but it still is pretty ridiculous. Although I still have my silver lining which I alluded to before: atleast Lebron won't get a ring next year. Posted by: Ali | July 03, 2009 at 01:53 AM ===================== Dude that is exactly the same thought of mine. I'm upset but not surprised at all as I recognized the fakers as the biggest cheater in basketball history since the day they got Gasoft for nearly zero cost. (aaron mckie? come on!" That's what NBA is about. I thought the Jefferson deal was the cheat of summer 09 but obviously "the best is yet to come". When will we trade Mark Blount for DH12?
Pat Riley called me a minute ago, and gave me this scoop: Miami trades O'Neal, Jones, Cook, Chalmers and a #1 from next season's draft, for Erick Dampier, Josh Howard and Jason Terry. The trade gets us about $2mil under the luxury tax threshold. Dallas gets two young, promising players and a #1 draft choice. They also become players in the 'LeBron' sweepstakes. Terry/Beverley Wade/Wright? Howard/Moon Beasley/Haslem Dampier/Magloire Well, you don't just expect Cuban to help us out, do you? Besides, Dampier isn't bad - he's a good/decent low-post defender/rebounder. Good protection for both Wade and Beasley. Both Howard and Terry can give enough scoring (at least 35 pts per night), and they're good defenders. A Riley-type team (except for Howard's extracurricular activities, maybe). This team is good for at least three years, which isn't a long time, but the former Dallas players' contracts will all be up by '12 at the latest. Good night. ================================ Why do we need those big time chokers who are exactly the same guys beaten by us badly in 2006?
By putting him at SF, he may lose his advantage in speed but I see him being able to match up the speed of opponent SFs on the defensive end. I don't see guys like prince, hedo, al harrington, peja, AK, marvin williams can blow by him easily. Yes guys like lebron, Pierce and Caron can beat him at will, but I mean, how many guys in this league can stay in front of them? On the offensive end, Beast could have overpower other SFs will his semi-PF body and post up smaller SFs. Sorry got some typo
I think shifting Beast to SF is due to the concern of his physical limitation in rebounding and on the defensive end. Beast is at 6'7 on bare feet and 6'8 1/4 in shoes. He's shorter than many power forwards in this league, plus he doesn't have the Hulk-like body build of other undersized PFs like Jason Maxiel, Brand, david west or Anthony Mason if we go vintage, nor he is Dennis Rodman. That gives him huge disadvantage on the boards and defending in th e low post. Keeping Beast at PF would just give us another undersized PF beside UD. wade last played a game 7 in 2005 in the eastern conference finals against detroit when miami lost in a close game because he was slowed by his rib injury. i dont know if wade played a game 7 in his rookie year. i started being a heat fan at the start of the 04/05 season. if wade didnt play a game 7 as a rookie, this will be wade's very first game 7 in his career when he is healthy. i hope that wade can be super wade, and finish off the hawks on their home court. i hope that every heat player can give wade the support he needs to get this victory. i hope that spo coaches an excellent game. i hope the refs call a fair game. i hope the heat will be booking their plane tickets to cleveland tonight. GO MIAMI HEAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Posted by: TylerD | May 03, 2009 at 04:28 AM ====================================== Dwade also beat Baron Davis' Hornets in 2004. Of course there were also Lamar Odom, Caron Butler and UD in the squad
