A mandatory personal finance class would be great for high school students to learn important skills they will need when they become independent adults. I’m always thinking of how I’m going to do my taxes or pick and pay for insurance. It is an important thing that everyone needs to... Continue reading

To be honest, I’m not really sure how I feel about this issue. I can see the argument of both sides. The solution isn’t really black and white, and I couldn’t say that either should definitely be done. America seems to think that they are the police of the world,... Continue reading

I found this article to be interesting, but I have conflicting feelings about it. As a student, I do feel the strain that this new generation of regulation puts on us. It’s tiring and monotonous, and gives me little hope for the future. The child side of me agrees with... Continue reading

I had tons of toys that I would do that with too, but instead of doing it with action figures, I would do it with barbies. It's odd that boys are supposed to play with action figures while girls play with barbies. When it came down to it we both did the same thing. A lot of people think that with barbies you're supposed to think about mundane things like getting married and having kids while with action figures you're supposed to think about cool things like war and secret agents and stuff. With my barbies, however, I would always create a scenario that wasn't very normal. I watched a lot of horror movies as a kid, so a lot of the times it was sort of horror related. Like, I remember I had a barbie hotel and I made believe that it was haunted and my barbies were going in to investigate.

I had a lot of favorite toys as a child, but the one that sticks out the most in my memory is a baby doll. But it wasn’t an ordinary baby doll. It grew, crawled, learned to walk, learned to talk, ate and slept. I thought it was amazing, and... Continue reading

People look at this situation in two different ways. The people who allow athletes to pass through high school and go to college despite their failing grades feel that this is the only thing the children have. They are dumb, and without sports they will amount to nothing. These coaches... Continue reading

We all really appreciate what you do for us and our country. You are making a sacrifice in order for hundreds of millions of people to live happy lives. Such selflessness is a hard found character trait. Every day that I can wake up alive is thanks to you. It... Continue reading

Texting isa really interesting thing. It seems to separate the older generation from the younger one. Really, with the internet as well, actually. If a teen has a parent or grandparent that uses either, they will most likely send chain letters or have annoying quiz results pasted all over their... Continue reading

I'm not sure where my place is with this debate. I am leaning more towards McCartle (my crack at spelling his name) with the argument that the drinking age should be lowered. Being a teenager myself, I know that drinking alcohol before you're 21 isn't really considered to be a... Continue reading

School is definitely the number one issue this year. So much stress and worry! I can't wait until it's over and I've finally got all of the applications figured out and sent out. I'm almost there! Better yet, I can't wait until I'm finished with college in general and I'm out doing what I love the most. Only ten more years! >< I didn't know that you were that dedicated and into your Tae Kwon Do. That's so cool that you're that high up. How long have you been doing it? Do you have a belt status or do you not go by that? I don't really know how those things work, lol. I feel sort of ignorant. My boyfriend does some sort of martial arts, but I can't remember what it was called. I think he does more than one. But he used to be an instructor, too. Until he was doing a kick turn thing and his kneecap snapped. The bottom part of his leg stayed while the top part turned with him, lol. So that was the end of his martial arts for a while. The doctors told him he shouldn't do it anymore, but he is determined. He's been practicing, and he worked with a physical therapist for a while, so in January he's going to go back to try to work his way back up.
