Feel like I'm overreacting, but could someone remind me why the Dolphins cut Feely after he hit 91% of his FGs that 1 year he was on the team? I think Parcells didn't like him and his salary was high for a kicker, but guys been pretty money since that point, especially from the 40-49 area. Going full on revisionist here since Carpenter looked like the right move thru 4 years and only now inexplicably sucks, but Feely's a good dude.

This spineless secondary has plagued the team for years now. 3rd & 18? 4th & 10? Odds are, you won't succeed in completing a pass and getting a first down (got 17 on 3rd & 18 then got it on 4th), but lo and behold, again and again, make a double move and you'll be open.

So, was having a bit of a debate on twitter with someone suggesting that Ireland isn't terrible, but average leaguewide when stacked against other GMs. Wasn't a zombie debate, guy raised good points (i.e., if Henne wasn't a bust, ended up being a top 12ish QB the Dolphins would probably be a good team). Ideally, is there an objective metric to say how bad the Dolphins have been, factoring in drafting and FO signings? The one that's always cited is Pro Football Reference using a metric called CarAV http://www.thephins.com/forums/showthread.php?71756-The-Objective-Case-for-Jeff-Ireland&s=e1e0d1e9ada149e36d1c2713683127af and I don't completely buy it because all positions are rated equally and drafting an adequate starter shouldn't be worth as much as this metric suggests, but objectively I can't find a good counterargument. Anyone? I still think Ireland has been bad at his job, but this made me think.

With "hope" being so unprecedented in how utterly low it is, the zombie in me almost expects the Dolphins to surprise me this year. Everything is so terribly aligned, using zombie logic, I could see shit working out. Or we lose this game 37-3 and spiral into tangible hopelessness.

From top to bottom, from Ginger GM to minor scout, I feel like they all just SUCK at evaluating talent. Wish they could just clean house in that department.

I'm only 20, so the earliest Dolphin teams I can remember are the Ricky or bust offenses with the pants shittingly scary defense. Junior and Zach anchored that LB core. Shame this had to happen. R.I.P. and his incident feels different than the others because he was in the freakin league 3 years ago. Usually you hear about this from guys in their 50s and 60s

I like the Egnew (Agnew?) pick. Seems to resemble a "modern" TE. The Lamar Miller pick is stellar except the reality of Danielle Thomas being a waste is now evident. B- draft overall. Not bad.

So I'll come out and say it. How are we supposed to feel about the prospects of Tanny boy? I'm conflicted because "hey they took a QB in the first round!" but then "oh did they reach?"

This game seems to have reopened the debate of Marshall as a person and player. The super bitter Dolfans hate him because of his Ted Ginn cursed hands (why'd you pick #19?!) but others swear he's a top 3 WR. I honestly don't know how to feel about the guy at this point.
