Okay, I had to come back to this post just to ask you -- did you hear about that trailer called "Friends with Benefits" which is pretty much the same concept as "No Strings Attached" but it features Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis who are practically Ashton and Natalie's dopplegangers if you think about it, lol. That movie looks kind of funny too but so typical!
The other Best Actress curse
Last week, the preview for Natalie Portman's new film No Strings Attached was released. Yes, Ivan Reitman is directing this rom com, and, yes, that is indeed Ashton Kutcher starring opposite Ms. Portman, the future Best Actress Oscar nominee for December's Black Swan. Upon first viewin...
I'm still torn about getting that book! Hahaha, it's been out for months, but I don't know.. the reviews on Amazon are so-so, but I imagine it's because it's James Franco. But I do think it's quite admirable too that he's doing all these things. He's amazing, hahaha.
There's nothing James Franco can't do
Throw a cape over him and escort him off stage---James Franco is officially the hardest-working man in show business! Actor! Student! Oscar host! Soap star! Writer! Currently, I'm reading his collection of short stories entitled, Palo Alto (check out his back-jacket pic below). I'll be hones...
Um, wow. That was painful to watch. I used to love Topher Grace too but Spideman III was just an awful choice for him. Maybe it killed his career. I hope he can jump start it again sometime after this movie blows over.
Topher's fall from Grace: 'Take Me Home Tonight' trailer
In 2004, Topher Grace did the film In Good Company, a movie that not only made my Top 10 list that year, but also made me think, "Maybe there's something to Topher Grace." He was funny, charming, and stretched his acting skills in a way no "That '70s Show" alum had done before (Mila Kunis in Bla...
I don't quite understand what that movie is about either, but I have to admit Jake seems kind of adorable in it and I don't even care that much for him in general, hahaha.
I didn't know Charlyne Yi was booted off of BBT! Haha, how weird, because she seems like she'd be perfect for that show.
Sex, 'Love and Other Drugs'. . .and Cocoa Puffs
When the trailer for Love and Other Drugs was first released, there was Oscar talk for Anne Hathway, with some saying she was not only a lock for a Best Actress nomination, but for a win! I was confused by this because I wasn't all that impressed with the trailer. It looked like a throwaway dat...
Ok kill me, because.. I kind of want to see it now. Even though it's totally going to be awful and predictable and it is totally lacking everything. The trailer was kind of even painful to watch after like a minute, but I love Natalie Portman! Hahaha, but yeah Cameron Diaz probably would have been more fitting.. but oh wait, she already did a rom-com with Ashton (What Happens in Las Vegas or something?). Maybe Natalie had to give in one time just to see what it was like, lol.

I was completely shocked that he asked Megan to marry him, but obviously you could tell he knew at the point when Sally spilled that milkshake and she was completely calm about it. At the same time, I feel like if it happened one too many times, wouldn't she eventually flip out like Betty does?
And man, that line Faye delivered was KILLER. It even hurt me after she said it! Hahaha, I guess that just shows how good the show is when it gets you that invested. I really thought she was perfect for him too but I can sort of see why he went with Megan and maybe it's awful to say this but I think it's because she admires him so much and doesn't talk back.
This season was pretty great overall I think in terms of growth in everyone's character. And I kind of love that Joan kept the baby after all.. I thought she was going to do that merely because she wanted one so badly.
Also, I can't wait to see if anything happens between Sally and Glen in the future! Haha, she's such a little misfit, but it's interesting to see her trying to deal with everything while growing up.
'Mad Men' season finale: the women in Don's life
If someone had told me at the beginning of "Mad Men" season 4 that Don would end up engaged to teethy "who's-that-girl-again?" Megan by the end of the season, I would have told him that the show will jump the shark the day that happens. As it turns out, the show has not jumped the shark, but t...
What did you think of the finale? I'm shocked but not shocked by Don! Haha. I started watching Mad Men back in late July/early August and managed to catch up in time for the finale of this latest season. I saw this image going around on Tumblr.com that said 'Free Sally' and it had a picture of Sally Draper - lol, I thought that was hilarious.
Etta James "Trust in Me"
This song appeared at the end of "Mad Men" last week, and my heart melted a little (it wasn't Don Draper who did it this time).
Wow, I'm hooked. I think that may be my new favorite movie, I hope!
'Blue Valentine' trailer: Hello, heartache!
Finally! I've been absolutely dying to get a glimpse of this movie, and here's the trailer for the film Blue Valentine, starring Michelle Williams and Ryan Gosling and directed by Derek Cianfrance. This movie recently received some attention for its NC-17 rating (due to an "explicit" s...
hahaha you definitely called it. i read some other watcher's review featured in EW about it (she was also the class of 2000) and said it was ridiculous that none of those people were on facebook! i thought that was really funny for some reason.
and i'm really disappointed with running wilde, mostly because i love keri russell and will arnett. of course i thought it would be good to watch because it was made by the same people who made AD (my favorite show), but i think it needs to get canceled, stat. :P
'Generation' Ax
Not surprisingly, ABC's "My Generation" has been canceled. This was one reunion no one RSVPed to. And who called it? Can a sister get a high five?? Don't leave me hanging! I think I may start a "Fall TV Watch" poll next September, in the vain of March Madness, only with a list of new shows a...
I liked it! It had a lot of potential, I think. Even EW (the magazine) said that it was well liked already. Oh well, maybe someone's petition will help it come back, hahaha.
Cancelled TV shows should get one last hurrah
My aunt recently asked me whether I had caught NBC's "The Event," a mystery show in the vain of ABC's "Lost." "I'm fighting being drawn in," she said. "I saw the plane and thought, 'Not again.'" Which was kind of the way I felt about the previews for "The Event." Not again. Suddenly every dram...
OMG I heard that Lone Star got canceled right after watching the first episode and didn't believe it at first, but now that you've posted the EW link, I'm saddened by the news! :(

Haha I totally felt the same way -- that it was pretty corny. Part of the reason why I wanted to watch it was because my graduating year was the year 2000 so I thought maybe I could relate. It seemed a little ridiculous that all of them were still friends or knew of each other ten years later, but I guess if it's a small town it makes sense? I have no idea. In any case, a few of the stories have me curious, but I wouldn't be surprised if it did get the axe soon.
(BTW, this is Cin from heartbeat.vox)
ABC goes WB on everyone's asses
My prediction for one of the first axes of the fall television season is ABC's "My Generation," an unintentionally hilarious mockumentary about a fake documentary on a group of high school students from the class of 2000, picking up with them 10 years later (the keyword in this sentence being "f...
