I say go ahead and round it up to 40. You might as well, since you get it! You have accomplished so much and you look so good! Congrats, Cathy!

Oh wow, how fantastic! I am struggling right now with being very s.l.o.w. And love that Owl City song, a great addition to my playlist.

I am planning on getting the same present for myself! Congrats Amy!

I think that somewhere along the fitness journey you have to work in a fudge factor and cut yourself some slack! After all, this is a lifetime work. If it starts to become onerous, I think it's best to give yourself a little way out in order to stay on track for the long term. Cathy, I think you are doing fine!

Love this monthly update, and you have a wise philosophy. I read one of John Bingham's books (The Courage to Start, which was the only one of his in the bookstore that day). Very enjoyable and I'm running regularly now! Having some joint issues which are tempering my distance, but trying to be patient.

This may be just what I need. For the last couple of weeks I have been successful at getting up and running before work, which is something I have never been able to force myself to do. But I'm starting to feel like I'll never get better; this is so hard, this hill wasn't this steep yesterday, etc. etc. I feel like I'm going to need a better overall perspective to keep this up!

Cathy, you both crack me up and inspire me. I'm sure dh is wondering why I'm laughing reading this while we watch the President tell us if we'll be able to go on our Gulf Coast vacation next week. Maybe I'll take a run down the beach!
