Gube is awesome! There is another youtube app for kids that I tried that was awful, so I was a bit skeptical initially. I got it on sale, and am glad I did. There are educational videos and some popular kids cartoons- I even found some kids videos in Portuguese, which I also speak, so that was fun to see! One of their favorites is a loose video interpretation The Three Little Pigs. I don't think I'll be able to access the videos at my school sites either, as youtube is always blocked, but if I can, I will report back to you. This is great to keep my kids busy when I need quiet for a little bit.

Thanks for the in-depth review. I think it's a big improvement with the in-app purchases gone. I can use this app to assess what animals are in a student's receptive vocabulary. Perhaps a Fuller version could feature more interactivity and a feature in the settings for labeling the animals. I like the crisp uncluttered graphics and the voice.

Ooh it's a toss up between Charlie Brown and Frosty the Snowman, with a memorable scene of a kid's tongue stuck to a pole, coming in second place. ;)

My oldest is obsessed with military and my littlest love animals, but I know what I want my kiddos to have ;) Wood Puzzle Maze HD, LOL! I make 'em learn while they are having fun!
