As the era of Six Apart comes to a close, and I look back on my almost five years here, there is a group that I feel deserves just as much recognition as the rest of us... plus some treats and belly rubs. I'm talking, of course, about the Six Apart Dogs. Dogs have been a huge part of the culture around here for as long as I've been on board. Like them or not, they've always been present. Now, I.T. professionals know that remote employees are a special challenge. These employees are usually very smart, but far too ugly to have in the general... Continue »

And oh, it gets worse because guess what was inside the Christina Aguilera lunch box? That's right: MY WISDOM TEETH. Interestingly, they were pulled out the day before The Dead played their last three shows at Shoreline in June of 1995. I insisted on going to the shows, despite the fact that I was swollen and on a lot of Vicodin and... well... let's just say mushrooms, Vicodin and hitchhiking don't mix. Also in the Christina Aguilera lunch box? My mother's high school charm bracelet. Charms include a dogwood bloom (the North Carolina state flower), a girl playing golf (with... Continue »
