I think I'm gonna miss this place! I remember when WWdN broke and I followed you into exile. Oh well, I will just follow you back! I suspect that the old new home will take some getting used to, but I'm sure it will feel like home soon enough. So, pull out the beers and I'll see you there!

I watched your stream live, and liked it alot! It felt strange but also very, very good. Thanks for sharing your office with us. And I already liked the short story, but hearing you read in the tone you intended for it, is something else. Also, I have visited the brewery in Oban. It is awesome. And the whiskey, too.

Thanks for the encouragement to get excited, create stuff AND show it to other people. At times you just need that extra little push in the right direction. Also: 239 is my favorite of the two. I'd love to read the same story, but told from the perspective of the Doyles or Mrs Canton or (the son of) the Thompsons! Also: Awesome Secret Things are awesome! But I bet they taste even better when shared.

Happy birthday from a Dutch girl living in rural Italy! Fellow '72-er and therefore pretty old I presume, no longer being 37...

Yahoo pointed me to your blog somewhere in 2003 or 2004 and I've been hooked ever since. D&D and poker I don't know much about, but anyone speaking with a passion about something he or she loves, is almost always fun to read or listen to and an inspiration to me. So, Wil, I guess you are my inspiration! Oh great... hello Dolly

I read and answered a bit too quickly. Anyhow, I will buy Hunter in any shape or form. And now I will go and plant some plants.

O man, I love the cover! And I think some apprehension is good, it keeps you on your toes. So long as it doesn't outgrow your excitement. I will certainly buy Hunter, I want to know how this story continues. Thank you for being so creative (and awesome ;)).

I am soooo jealous! Two years ago I moved from Holland to Italy.. Italy-Fedcon might just be a bit too far. Oh wait, it is in Düsseldorf? In that case it might not be entirely impossible for me to be there! *fingers crossed*

Nice picture! Thank you Wil, for introducing your family. From my part of the internet, I am very pleased to meet you all!

I recently asked you via Twitter how a creator knows when a creation is finished. You replied to me(*squee!!*) by saying that you never really know, but just have to let it go. But the letting go part is so damn scary! While being creative you are (I am) usually convinced that what you are creating will be awesome, but once you're about to send it out into the big bad world, that conviction can suddenly vanish.. FYI: my creation was greeted with warmth and happiness, so: go me! Oh, and I will buy yours and greet it with warmth and happiness!

That was a nice read! I loved your soundpicture of the aquarium filter, it made me feel the quiet of a house at night. And about the stars: I feel the same way when I look up at them and try to get my head around the vastness of what's out there and about all the things that could happen to our tiny tiny planet.. Just a few days ago I found this through stumbleupon: http://bit.ly/PV4o

Nice one again, Wil. Thank you! It reminded me; in a couple of weeks, perhaps around Christmas, I'll go back home (Netherlands) to my mum because my awesome stepdad has to undergo some serious heart surgery. They both are almost 80 years old, it will be a stressful time for both of them. I'll try to be as good a daughter to them as you are a father to your family.

I'll finish reading the rest of your blog in a minute. First I have to say: you play Civ too?!! That's my one and only gaming addiction ever since a fellow student at university introduced me to it in 1992 or '93. That was Civ I. Oh, what fun we had..!!

"I made that ughh noise that, as a child, I always associated with old people." I'm starting to do the same thing.. Does that mean we're getting old? I'm not old, I'm 37!!
