This debate has been fascinating to me. Debates always occur at the fringe (all or nothing) and yet reality seems to occur between the extremes. It leads me to believe (as history seems to support) that several models (free or paid) have a place in the new economy. The problem is that we don't have the rules, guidelines, that model how people may behave given the many variables that impact decision making. Some people will pay for some things. Some people will pay for access to those consuming (advertisers) and some models will spring up that we haven't even thought of yet. We need to keep trying and experimenting as more information becomes known and see where it takes us. But, I doubt free will be the scenario 100% of the time for 100% of content. Hmmm sounds like I have my own post to write!

Wow, Karen! You are a big fan of ScreenSteps - your post was great. I'll have to check that out - could be useful for product demos too. Ann
Wow Karin, that is thought-provoking. It's all about self awareness and prioritization, isn't it!

Great tips! While multitasking lowers your effectiveness at each task, in some situations it's even sending the wrong message. When you're on the phone with someone and doing something else (like email), you're communicating to that person that they aren't "worth" your full attention.
