Count your blessings, Prince Al would have been in charge on 9/11. And we couldn't afford our computers now.

I also thought that when comparing, infant mortality has to be removed because we try and save younger babies than the other countries. Plus, we have more immigrants than they do.

As an aside, John Ray's Dissecting Leftism is a really informative site. and For example, someone who agreed with the statement, “duties are more important than rights,” would be classified as conservative. --- I love skewing stats and market research.

Certainly some of the heaviest. In short, you Anglo-Saxons have too much and we can't catch up, our children are driving us nuts. Gimme, gimme, gimme.

I wasn't aware the JOOOOSSSS killed the equivalent 3000 Germans and caused a 1930's equivalent of a $1 trillion dollar hit to Germany's economy. Or took hostages for 444 days, or killed Olympians at the 1936 festivities based on religion. Who is demonizing whom? Did you watch the vid of Daniel Pipes talk? --obliterating the difference between right and left authoritarianism (I am opposed to both).-- You should delve thru Bros. Judd archives, some interesting conversations there and other places that it's not right/left, just a difference in extremes. It's all left. Of course, Dissecting Leftism is also a good site. I also wasn't aware that some American history books teach the entire world was American, unlike some Islamic history books (printed in Canada) which states Australia and America were Islamic. And don't forget the Hindus. They've been under attack for centuries, too. Some nutjobs were going to Bamyam some caves in India which the Hindi/Jawa(?) and another religion had artifacts of their religion, cos there was nothing before Islam. They're working on destroying the glories of Egypt, too. -- neocon attitudes towards arabs-- Nice transition, not all arabs are muslim. Why, once again, do you only focus on white people? I'm sure some citizens of India might have a beef or 3, even tho I haven't heard of any buses being set on fire lately. -- You really should find time to read the articles at Rantburg, but I really don't think you should read the comments. it might upset your sensibilities. But then again, why do you have so much guilt?

Somebody on Rantburg wrote that his nurse was Pali, the decent ones had left and those that remained were Orcs.

Let's see Douglass, you were in a culture that has respect for the elderly v. us and a culture which teaches that non-muslims are monkeys, dogs, pigs, and unclean and to take no non-muslim as friend? What kind of dialog are your looking for? What do you think needs to be said to get thru to them? --- So, copithorne, I haven't been around much, did I ever get your definition of peace????

Well, not exactly true equality, next would be working on voices, dialects, etc. We could give everyone a voice box.

Land invasion is provincial thinking. --To accept our system would be to deny theirs, their belief their world view--- They've been fighting against all other systems for 1400 years. but they do enjoy the fruits of those other systems. -- --An eye for an eye will make the whole world blind.-- Then true equality will reign, won't it? Takes away all those outer cues on judging/stereotyping people, doesn't it?

--I was glad to see you bring in the UN because I have become hungry for understanding of the UN mentality.-- Piece of cake to understand them. It's what most of the world is under, mutated monarchy - unelected 1, unelected many, but elitist/peasant. We had slaves, we never had peasants or the peasant mentality. It's how the rest of the world was and in some parts still is. It's what they do, it's what they are and have been. The world is going backwards like the Planet of the Apes.... We're the original rogue nation, we're the 1 that got away. Our tribal/class lines have dissolved more than others. But that's MHO. Oh, and don't forget, we must have "stability" most of all.......America's not stable, look at our election process, every 2 years. It's our instability which makes us the longest democracy/republic in existence.

Oddly, kind of got into this over at Daimnation, this is the perspective of a Canadian: ...The right to arms in the US relates to the notion of the right to rebel under the social contract theory. And such a right would be worthless if the state could take away the means of resistence - in this 18th century, arms. Now days, we have other means of rebelling not that it would matter because we don't have a similar history of a right to arms in Canada. More importantly, there's no need for armed rebellion in an anti-totalitarian state.... And it's our "so-called right" to bear arms.....

-- How can strict controls in one state be effective if they are not matched by neighbouring states? In other words should this not really be a federal issue?-- No, it's not, it's a Constitutional issue. Keep your mitts off my gun(s). there's reasons it's #2. There are over 30-35 states with some form of concealed carry. There's an article out there somewhere by gun control advocates who are professors who researched gun control in the US. The gun grabbers didn't appear til around 1876. No Founding Father advocated gun control. And Bellisiles (sp) work was fraudulent. Besides, maybe part of the reason Canada's stats are going up is because you're becoming more multicultural.

Charles, we have been checking out the stats, take a look at England and Australia, and look at the stats of concealed/carry states. There was even a lively discussion on Canada at Daimnation. We were trying to compare apples to apples, but it didn't really work out. Gun control for the baddies, good, gun control for me, bad. And I don't own one.

--One more thing: tomorrow is August 22.-- And we must do this: ...If you want to have good relations with the Iranian people in the future, you should acknowledge the right and the might of the Iranian people, and you should bow and surrender to the might of the Iranian people. If you do not accept this, the Iranian people will force you to bow and surrender....

LGF has this: The controversial Czech TV documentary “I, A Muslim,” in which a reporter used a hidden camera to record inside mosques, has been posted (with English subtitles) at Google Video by LGF reader “Abu Kafir:” I, a Muslim. --- And the NYT actually got a small clue with this article: A surprisingly frank piece from the New York Times on the disturbing prevalence of violent jihadist rhetoric in Britain: British Law Against Glorifying Terrorism Has Not Silenced Calls to Kill for Islam. --- Every now and then, some clarity.

Fascism is always descending on America.......... When someone tells you he intends to kill you, believe him. Didn't a survivor of the camps say that? And if I'm not mistaken, if Flight #93 had hit the Capitol, we'd be dead in the water. No quorum. No money cos no bills passed and money appropriated. The Constitution is specific about those details. --Shia and Sunni who hate each other,-- So did the Bolshies and Nazis, didn't stop them. They'll join together to do what they think needs to be done and then they'll go back to their squabbling. Much like the secular left which is joining w/the islamofascists now. And that "low-tech" operation caused billions if not a trillion $ hit to our economy. Just how many of those can we stand?

I was listening to Medved on Friday when he talked about this and the 10/5 get rid of W day. When he mentioned the signers of the petition, it was the usual suspects. Their ages really made them obsolete. And I thought it might be time for a parody of Springsteen's "Glory Days" because they're still living in it.
